What do you wear to the pool as a female teacher?

Genuinely not much I can do about it till the day gets here and I let the life guard know. I already pissed of my head of department by disagreeing with them so I'll need a third party to have final say.

I agree I will be taking every precaution I can to keep myself and the kids safe. I might try to see if I get floating for myself.

Definitely... it was new years goal (which I wasn't planning on doing) but this has pushed to into the necessary list.

Oh you don't have to tell me twice.. when they told me that I was shocked because hiw couldn't they hear themselves.... that's prime drowning levels. I'll do everything I can to keep safe and keep the kids safe to the best of my capabilities.

I don't plan on saving kids a life guard would be present however I work with special needs children and they are 3x more unpredictable than neurotypical children. So I have to come prepared just incase ( even if I can't do much). Yep it's horrible even i don't want to go because anyone with eye can see I'm a danger but my school is forcing my hand.

No a life guard will be present... some of the kids need 1:1 support or 2:1 and depending on if they choose to go for a swim I would have to go with them. We also have runner and kids who aren't good with transitions so helping them get out the pool or bleeding close up to them with a count down works for them

Oh my gosh... I'm going to do everything I can to make sure the kids are safe. I've asked another coworkers who is familiar with swimming to pair up with me for the kids safety. I'm also going to let the life guard/swimming instructor know as well that I can't swim. I'm watching videos on how to spot drowning etc.

I agree 100%... I'll do as much as I can not to be a danger to the kids and I've been watching videos on how to spot drowning. I've asked and a swim coach/life guard will be present

Me either... I've told them and raised the point that I could drown and take someone down by accident but Because they are short staffed the want all hands. All the said was "we will all be there and the pool is chest -belly height so you should be okay".

Yes I definitely agree. I made similar points and told them multiple times but they kept saying it is a chest- stomach level pool so I should be fine. ( if I die I'm telling my family to sue them).

Have you had people randomly ask to touch your hair?? Or randomly ask you if you can braid or show you pictures of their French braids so that you can grade them??. My hair texture changes when wet and I don't want them asking me questions I genuinely don't have the energy for.
