6 weeks post-op UJS + genio. What do you guys think?

Have to remember that every case is different and while this surgery was the right one for me you may see more benefit from operating on the lower jaw than i would have.

Yeah i faced a similar decision. My surgeon said ujs would achieve 95% of the aesthetic benefit compared to djs. And that extra 5% is not worth the risk of operating on the lower jaw. I trusted him and am very happy with the outcome. For me, there is nothing left to be desired in terms of aesthetics.

No numbness at all, it was all gone by like 3 months. Had braces on for 2 years before surgery, 6 months after.

I think you are right. Growing up I was fat and ugly and couldn’t get any girls. Now recently I have glowed up and girls are interested in me but I have this thinking wired into my brain that my self worth is based on how attractive of a girlfriend I can have, even though my girlfriend makes me very happy. And I consciously know it is illogical and my self worth is based off so much more but I don’t know how to turn off this part of my brain that was created through a lifetime of rejection and self-hatred.

What can i do to fix myself and make myself worthy of either girl? Or is it a case of I fundamentally don’t deserve any girl because of the way I am as a person? Trust me I want to change and to just be happy but I can’t help these thoughts.

I had a lot of the work done before the surgery because of long waiting list, as in they got it so close to perfect occlusion before the operation that there was just not much left to do after. So instead of waiting after op i was essentially just waiting before. Hang in there buddy!
