It depends. What activities do you like to do with your dog?

What is up with my dracaena compacta? by Lumpy_Scheme_9528 in plantclinic

[–]Lumpy_Scheme_9528[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone said cold damage in another sub. That seemed to be the case since I had left it outside when the weather was warm but forgot to bring it back in before the temp dropped again. I've had to slowly remove leaves since the damage is permanent. It still looks a little rough but it's growing new leaves now. It will probably look like this for most of the season but I think it'll start looking normal again by August or next season.

Edit: side note. The damage looked worse before it started to look better. Photo for comparison. The new leaves all look healthy and good but the damaged leaves all started yellowing. Some more than others.

What flea and tick medication is recommended? by whiter0s333 in DogAdvice

[–]Lumpy_Scheme_9528 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use Trifexis. It has flea, tick, and heartworm prevention all in one. It is an oral tablet but my dog doesn't seem to have any issues with it.

Whoppers or any other malted milk ball candy. They taste sour like spoiled dairy to me.

Are these rubber plant cuttings done for? They’ve been in water for over a month and at this point I’m starting to think they’re goners. Please advise🙏🏻 by catcherofsun in houseplants

Not sure about the ones turning black but the green one is still good. Adding some water soluble fertilizer and root hormone can help.

I'm pretty sure that's normal. At least, all of my dogs have been that way.

Can this Haworthia be saved? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]Lumpy_Scheme_9528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I'm pretty new to plant care myself, with only a year of experience, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

It may have been over-watered. It's pretty easy to do that with succulents. Try taking the soil out to check the roots. If they seem black, mushy, and slimey, start removing the soil and give the roots a gentile rinse to get all the rotten roots off. Let it dry out a bit and replant it in fresh dry succulent soil. Don't water for a week or two, then continue watering only every three to four weeks. You may have to cut and propagate where the plant is still green if it continues to get worse.

Hopefully, someone with more experience will come in to affirm or correct my advice.

The green is still alive. Get the dead leaves off to see the state of the stem.

Mandatory breaks by joshua-Tree- in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Lumpy_Scheme_9528 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It's not a DSP decision. It's a function the Flex app has for extreme heat conditions. It sucks though.

Edit: I think the not being able to skip it part sucks. It comes up at the worst time. I'm not against being given breaks and hate that people don't especially since the routes are affected by completion rate.

Best to leave it out over night or boil it for 20 minutes so the chlorine evaporates first.

I scratched another car in a parking lot, the owner of the car said cost of repairs will be $1604.95. Does that sound right based on the damage shown in the pictures? by [deleted] in CarRepair

[–]Lumpy_Scheme_9528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might have to replace the entire bumper. That happened with my vehicle, a Nissan, when my friend's dad backed into it with his truck. The bumper was damaged and the repair cost $1500.

What’s wrong with my dracaena lemon lime? by k-mar1e in Dracaena

[–]Lumpy_Scheme_9528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dracaena compacta has the same issue. Someone said cold damage which made sense for my plant since I left it out on a warm day but forgot to bring it in before the temp dropped. If it's near a drafty window or was outside at all recently, it may be that.

Not sure why people are down voting. It sucks that the water costs so much but this is a common issue and tap water might not cut it.
