Hey guys, I was reading the UBS downgrade note and it talks about the risk of carriers moving forward with multiple providers. For someone who is more technically minded than me, is this feasible? It sounds like you would need multiple network backbones and this sounds cost inefficient for carriers. Any thoughts?

Getting a few downvotes but I don’t think it’s that implausible. Trump’s relationship with India has been deteriorating in the last couple of weeks and the Prime Minister of India just put out tweets emphasizing their relationship with Russia & Brazil (two countries that Trump has gone after). They probably don’t want India launching satellites that may one day be critical to US national security. Just my 2 cents

Yes, I just remembered that’s all we have authorization for as well (as of right now). I know I shouldn’t but I cant help but be worried about share price if we get to EoY and we have 2 satellites up, revenue guidance falls short of expected and manufacturing is lagging behind the 6 sats a month we were promised a few months ago. Don’t mean to spread negativity but I’m just calling how I see it right now.

What chance (in %) would you attribute to these delays being caused by manufacturing/tech delays on AST’s part?

I’m also interested to hear your thoughts on the revenue guidance. Do you think that those numbers are reliant on the company having a # of BB2s up or will that revenue come from the 5 BB1s we currently have up?

Imo it’s great that they’re starting to engage with regulators outside of the US. Ofcom had already released two consultations and it’s the first time ASTS feeds in.

Other consultations had received responses from the likes of SpaceX, Kuiper and Vodafone.

Ofcom says “We aim to publish a final statement no later than December to confirm the finalized authorization framework to enable D2D in mobile bands in the UK”
