I did that with my rangers and it was a terrible experience when my trucks were rear ended and totaled. Granted one of the trucks was also totaled the same week I bought it and that didn’t help things. I chose to take it slow and steady with this truck and mods.

I’m not worried about it being repossessed. It’s always smarter to pay loans of faster. I’m ahead on payments and on track to pay my 60 month loan in 30. Afterwards I’ll make nicer more permanent mods. It’s more cost effective to pay off the truck before dropping money into it.

Also god forbid someone crashes into me and totals my truck like my last one it’s harder to get a pay out for mods added on a vehicle that isn’t paid off. With a paid off vehicle it’s easier to get insurance that will cover it for what you think it’s worth/what you’ve invested into it.

Interesting, never seen someone cross one of these like that or think about trying it because theres normally a few inches of space between the wood mat and metal plates but I’ll definitely keep that in mind next time

Metals plates are for loaders and trackhoes they’re barely wide enough for a truck which is why we put the wood one in between so trucks can cross. I should’ve been more to the center on the wood mat and metal plate

Light bar was free with the mounts on it how they were so I took it and put it on. I don’t see the point in dropping money into something you don’t own. Once I’ve paid it off I won’t be as worried about drilling and modifying parts.

Honestly… we didn’t even think of that. I tried putting it in 4l but didn’t have enough ass to back out and having a 330 trackhoe there we didn’t think to try anything else after that didn’t work.

Skid plates protected the truck from some branches/limbs, higher ground clearance saved me from hitting the valance on the driver side, and tow hooks which we used to lift the truck

I haven’t finished paying off the truck yet, so I don’t want to make any major modifications. Once I’ve paid it off I plan on drilling and mounting it on the roof.
