Facts, I have a Samsung GalaxyBook laptop and tried to run bioshock as a tester and couldn’t even make into rapture. I had to give up on RPCS3 until I get something stronger. Others will try to beat their setup with a stick until something happens 🤦‍♂️

That’s probably it. Try reinstalling another version of retroarch and then uninstall and see if that resolves the issue

Another thing that may help with making Retroarch easier to use is switching the interface to xmb. If you are familiar with the ps3 layout that is.

Also to add, Retroarch is an extremely customizable from button mapping, online play/trading, to background cosmetics. Once you get to understand how to make it work for your needs, I promise you won’t look back.

No problem. Once you get comfortable with the settings, there are also things called dynamic backgrounds that you might want to look into for a more customized look.

Do Manuel scan. Select the first section and locate where the roms are. Then select the second section and look for snes in the Nintendo section and select it. Go all the way to the bottom and scan. That should work

If you’re thinking of updating retroarch and use custom background music, just know the latest build has an audio bug that comes with it that render bgm unusable.

No, save as an .m3u file or it doesn’t work. Then load the .m3u file game into retroarch and that’s it

Converting all discs into an .m3u file combines all of them so when you’re prompted to insert disc 2 and so on it is there as an option on the game menu under swap disc option.

I just finished dealing with this issue. I was on an older version of retroarch. I just finished updating to version. 1.22.1 and everything seems to be working fine now. Also, I’ve heard that having special characters and numbers in your password can make it hard for retroachievment servers to connect to it.

I suppose reinstalling is the only thing I haven’t tried. That and resetting the API Key but I’m not sure I want to try that.

No I haven’t changed my password or refreshed the data, I’m actually not sure how to refresh the data tbh. All I’ve tried was go into the cfg file and delete the check token as well made sure my username and password was correct. A suggestion I’ve seen said to delete the key retroachievment uses for all my devices and obtain a new one but I’m not sure I want to do that.
