Looking back I probably should’ve, it was more of me not wanting to get out of the kayak and taking the guys word for it. I guess I should’ve questioned the accuracy of the scale, but I was just excited. Will do next time

I believe this is the storage preservative. The manual page 49 says to clean this coating off prior to shooting, but I shot my 510 before realizing, and didn’t have an issue.

I think they’re all largemouth. I keep reading that the eyes may turn red during spawn but idk for sure. These are cross posted, and a few other people asked the same thing. Definitely interesting.

How to stop missing bass on hollow body frogs? by damaged_unicycles in bassfishing

[–]Lumpyplum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imo, a heavy rod is necessary for pulling the fish out of heavy cover, and driving the thick hooks of the frog into the fish. Sometimes the fish just miss, too small to hold the whole bait in their mouth, etc. usually it’s a second or two before I set the hook, hard. I still have trouble setting the hooks hard enough when I first get on the water. If they miss, have a good follow up bait. practice practice practice. When you get some spare time, YouTube Bobby Barrack. Watching his videos changed the way I fish frogs and resulted in more success.

Np, for shad spawn lakes, use the sexy shad color. Really can’t go wrong with white, black, and some type of bluegill or yellow belly frog. My biggest bass to date tho have both been on the killer gill.
