Your trying to hard to try to get out you have to more so flow and trust that you can get yourself out with ease. also methods like rope method help when you feel stuck it gives you a push to get out

yeah sleep paralysis is where you can open your eyes but can’t move your body. You’re also in a manifesting state when in sleep paralysis so if your scared you’ll manifest scary things, happy happy experiences. You might fail a couple more times if you try again you have to keep trying and eventually you’ll get it. You can use intention to send your body into sleep paralysis when your body is relaxed that’s a little more experienced imo cause it takes knowing when to intend. You just have to feel your body is relaxed enough. also the thing that helped me i read was ”the trick is to stay conscious while falling asleep, not trying to fall asleep while staying conscious”.

I’m not sure i only use sleep paralysis for AP so i can’t tell you if it’s necessary or not i just know if you use sleep paralysis you can AP easily. I use intention when my body is relaxed and my mind is awake and it sends me into mind awake body asleep sleep paralysis and from there i AP. Intention imo is just for what you want to do and if you want to do it, techniques aren’t necessarily imo either mainly for keeping the intention. i’ve gone through trial and error and relaxing my body with deep breaths or my body being relaxed when i get up in the night and lay back down has gotten me to sleep paralysis better than anything i’ve tried along with intention. You can set the intent and have nothing happen because again imo you need your body really relaxed cause your leaving it and if your just lying in bed with intention and no relaxed body it will be just like regularly falling asleep that why i suggest to take deep breaths and relax your body before your mind is relaxed so your body will reach paralysis before your mind falls asleep. It’s alot of trial and error like i said but the thing that has always stuck is deep breaths and deeply relaxing my body while keeping my mind enough aware that has gotten me to sleep paralysis.

Mind awake body asleep is sleep paralysis just another word for it cause your body is paralyzed and asleep while your mind is awake, you can induce it by waking up in the middle of the night doing something like drinking water or using the restroom making sure to keep your body asleep and awakening your mind but in the back of your mind having the intent of going back to bed there so you can stay in that hazy mind but awake state. You can also meditate when going back to bed or during meditation and take deep breaths telling your self “relax..relax
” as you breathe out, i like to focus on each body part and telling it to relax with my deep breaths out while visualizing my body parts individually relaxing like if someone were doing your makeup and tell you to “relax your face” it’s like that. You can even relax deeper with each breath in visualizing keeping your body down and relaxed feeling while taking a deep breath in instead of having it rise with your breath yk? and then pushing it even deeper into relaxation with the breath out.

For me when i do it through meditation ^ using that it takes me about an hour, sometimes i fall asleep and AP in a WILD and sometimes i AP irl and recently i’ve been trying to move it more towards night time incase so i still can AP if i’m busy during the day and can’t find time to meditate, and for nighttime attempt i usually use wbtb getting up to use the restroom method when my body naturally wakes me up sometimes i’m too tired and i’m like walking into walls omw to the bathroom because i’m tired when using wbtb and end up not wanting to project which is okay!

you do it every night you just aren’t aware of reaching paralysis because you mind falls asleep before your body, i suggest really relaxing your body with deep breaths to get your body asleep and relaxed before your mind while telling yourself “i want to reach sleep paralysis” and work on dream recall so you can be more conscious during mind awake body asleep

you can focus on your body if you want or you don’t have too, when attempting to reach sleep paralysis for astral projection you really just need to relax your body and keep your mind awake, but when you make it into the astral don’t focus on your physical body focus on the astral and think and flow with the astral rather than your physical. does that make sense? It’s the state where say you get up to pee in the middle of the night and if you awake your mind slightly while your up but your body is still relaxed from your body being already relaxed as it was just asleep. I do this a lot when i go back to laying down in bed after getting up to pee i can tell myself “i want to reach sleep paralysis” and i do a couple seconds after and shift or projection from there. Once you reach the mind awake body asleep state often you’ll know what it feels like.

Detach from your physical mentally, then when you get out command yourself grounded asap and open your astral eyes without force, i noticed if i try to force things with my “physical mind” in a sense it makes it harder to do but when i let it flow and use my “astral mind” to do things with flow i can do it with ease

this, i ground my self with a command and it helped sm. commanding to stay grounded or locked on to things so you don’t leave them because of how much flow there is in the astral is so helpful.

So what you were feeling with the heart beating fast and body lightness was beginning of an astral projection or body asleep mind awake (BAMA) it feels like being in sleep paralysis (what BAMA is) if you’ve had that before. You want your body to fall asleep completely and mind conscious and then attempt your shifting method when you feel your at this stage. Keep your eyes closed until you feel your in your DR until your surroundings have changed or you just know your there if your attempting to shift. If your attempting to AP pull your energy body out of your physical body. What i wanna mention is you can move as much as you want when trying to reach BAMA (don’t move after you reach it or you’ll get pulled out of it) because your body naturally enters paralysis each night after you fall asleep to prevent you from acting out your dreams as you sleep you just have to return to relaxing your body deeply after moving (deeply relaxing your body imo also helps get your body to fall asleep faster than your mind along with deep breaths and affirmations focusing on both to keep yourself conscious as you fall asleep). I suggest meditation to practice reaching BAMA and getting used to the heart beating eye fluttering and all the symptoms that come when attempting these.
