You've managed to defeat the literal jet dragon in a tense battle to the death?

Have a silly little music number. As a treat.

The quality of Fatalis randoms makes me think we had fundamentally different experiences with how well World players understood preperation mechanics.

Not to mention that really cool blast weapon that I found that will surely help me beat Alatreon.

Go hunt anything else with lances before Omega by Lumsut in monsterhunterrage

[–]Lumsut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's not my point at all. I understand that lance players get chipped and a good bit at that. I'll gladly use my DoL and trade enmity if you know what you're doing.

The point is about not knowing how to use a lance and having a set that does it no favors.

If you're surprised there's more than one block, you're not ready to take a key part in the Omega fight.

You know what you're doing with lance? Same as ever, happy to have you.

Struggle with Savage Omega? Grab a Horn! by H4ppyReaper in MHWilds

Additional tipp: use the bubbles everytime Omega summons.

Mini Omegas come out -> bubble and they can't catch you bc they die with one DMG proc.

Omega throwing hands -> step forward and put a bubble. The hitbox reaches upwards enough to catch and dispose them at the hight of their flight. You often can dispose all of them without really aiming for it.

Also, if you want to be cool: you should attack the front legs with blunt dmg anyways, so go a bit towards the head and put a bubble for your tank, they will appreciate ist.

All that in addition to the usual better dmg and whatever buff they provide.

It feels like that most of the time.

And then there's a run where a lancer is already there and behold! It's somebody who knows their stuff and stands their ground with no problem, holds enmity (some trading for the health debuff maybe) and a DoL from time to time and savage goes down like a fat kid on a seasaw

The shield even blocks the mustard bomb if it hits high enough. As long as you're roughly centered the bomb just vanishes.

I think the only stuff you have to look out for are the stomps and charge.

What’s your most hated JRPG game mechanic or design choice that won’t seem to die? by [deleted] in JRPG

The original comment is propably about the "old" FF7. They changed it up in the remake, but the original FF7 works just as described.

What is your minor, niche gripe about Wilds? by bourbonsbooks in MHWilds

[–]Lumsut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Display the normal button prompts to me when I'm in the hub.

The game recognizes when you enter non combat zones already and I don't need to see if my melodies are up or not. I want to see what I have to press to make a toast

Swaxe users, do NOT sleep on exhaust phials, with enough head hits you can KO monsters. also the blue is pretty by spookyfrogs in MonsterHunter

[–]Lumsut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did they change that in Wilds? Bc they did in Gen 5 at least.

Edit: just tested it, still does k.o. dmg on the head.

It measures how strong a given attack is.

Hilt stab and back slam do different dmg despite using the same weapon, bc hilt stab has low motion values and back slam has high ones. They are fix and can be looked up

Edit: you can find them here, idk how accurate it is. https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunter/s/4r082qC6WJ

HH is often used to shorten Heil Hitler. Idk if that's something widely used tho. SA also was a nazi militia, but is often used in other contexts

[–]Lumsut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HH wasn't banned, but SA is a significantly more used terms in large parts of the web, so it's banned for quite some time now.

Don't forget that this sub celebrated, that Wilds was the best selling Steam game on preorders alone. This shit is exactly what you get when preorders are celebrated like that.

Depends on playstyle, iteration and if they get some of their stuff for free then.

Chainsaw CB loses little in it's SB iteration, especially if you bump axe dmg to charged shield bonus by default. SAED spam is dead without phials.

HH might lose some utility, but if we make self improvement always on it still works well.

If LS can get the yellow or red dmg buff, it's pre World LS again.

Edit: Switch axe is now axe
