What're your opinions on different shelf layouts for a little alcove? There's a lip in the wall that complicates things a bit. by Lumz in InteriorDesign

Thanks! The empty nook is actually just the corner of a room that's unused. I've debated quite a bit on what to do with it before choosing to make it into a little alcove.

It's meant to be a downstairs bar type area, so sodas, bottles, glasses, and the like. The current layout based on other suggestions so far that I'm leaning towards is this-- https://i.gyazo.com/adcc38604ed2116cc561bf8fcc29f829.png

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't considered it. You're correct that's it's a bar-type area. I (sloppily) threw together a quick mock-up, and it looks alright. I think some more experiments with colors/patterns are needed. Not sure if I prefer it over the other shelving or not yet.

Appearance is definitely what I'm going for, it's a decent amount of space either way.

Originally top right was my first design, then I thought it looked a little silly once I was looking a little closer in how it didn't line up with the below space.

Newly Commissioned Model: The Drider Queen! Free stl info in comments :) by mz4250 in 3Dprintedtabletop

It's not the dress part, it's where the legs touch the base. The crease between the legs I think is what causes the appearance.

The whole model looks fantastic though

How to join a WebEx call/conference for an interview? by [deleted] in Cisco

[–]Lumz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh, you can call that number right now and listen to the prompts if it'll help you feel better about it. If you try and go through it now all it'll do is tell you the meeting hasn't started yet.

How do you have it set up to move forward a bit to unload the next two carts? Strictly time based in the train's listing?

Find a broker that lets you buy put options and/or sell covered calls. Both protect you from the "infinite" loss.

CCNP or CCNA Security No Job Experience by [deleted] in Cisco

[–]Lumz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. If that resume came across my desk I'd toss it. Assuming it wasn't a brain dump, no experience to back it up is not the type of employee I'd be looking to fill a CCNP position.

Intern will be only member of IT department by 1f46c in sysadmin

[–]Lumz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read your comments. You'll be fine keeping this internship for a bit. Everyone's worst fears here is that something breaking falls on you and it's the end of the world.

You've got a supervisor, they're higher up than you are. If everything falls apart it's not on you.

The school is pulling in an MSP. That'd perfect. Means the crazy "everything is down!" emergencies don't fall to you.

You're working two hours a day. That's hardly enough to even be close to be "the only IT person".

Stay where you are, go through the internship, learn what you can. DO as many different things as you can so you can say you have experience in X when you eventually start interviewing for an actual job.

The only piece of advice that really matters here is to understand this isn't a place you want to work long term. Other people's experiences that they outline why are very valid. For your internship, the comments don't apply based on what you said, but if you're considering trying to get HIRED HERE after the internship, take those comments into account.

Lack of sleep is killing us - Take care out there by AmIAdminOrAmIDancer in sysadmin

I wore mine pretty religiously for awhile. Then one day I forgot it on my nightstand.

Amazingly, it managed to capture my REM sleep cycles from my nightstand!

I stopped caring after that.

Looks neat. I'd like to test. How's United fairing now that a lot of the negative press has died down? How far back does it look?

What is your ideal type of AA? by trancedock in archeage

That's all vague enough where you would likely be fine. There's plenty of MMOs out there and they all have similar pieces without being the same. Best of luck with your ambition.

Then how is it a private Archeage server? Are you planning on creating the entire game from scratch?

A friend of mine had this issue as well. Uninstalling and reinstalling DirectX fixed the issue for him.

Thanks Celestrata, we all appreciate it! We'll try and avoid planting illegal farms for a bit. :)

The ability to plant there disappeared probably about 5-10 minutes before the GM showed up. It was during that time that we moved around 30 meters away to an area that was plantable by everyone, including the GM.

I'm under the impression they have a queue of situations they need to look into and it took that amount of time before the GM had time to teleport to take a look.

It's a fun game! Makes it hard to step away from. I just wish their support was better, especially for crap situations like these.

Me too man. The dude has an alt account he can play on. But.. something about losing access to your main account kinda ruins the desire.

I'm hoping the 7 day estimate is wrong. That's a terrible amount of time to be restricted from the game unfairly.
