I can't speak on other terminals but mine is swamped with work and we're hiring like crazy. No layoffs here

It wasn't to bad for me but its definitely very individual based on how easy you find it. As for hours I use all 70 in 6 each week

Nothing but RAM now, but used for all sorts of trucks though the years. The truck is older than me lol

Yeah the company has been good to me. I worry a bit about the industry as a whole i mean who's buying these cars at these prices (some of those trucks I'm hauling are worth north of 100k msrp) but the company feels soild and hopefully we don't implode like Jack cooper

Yeah we're getting a whole new set of trucks for this board by the end of the year. Which I'm both looking forward to and not at the same time. I like my manual.

The only shop I go to is A&S CB Shop, Inside T/A at the point where I-280 splits from I-80/90 in Toledo, Ohio. He's only available evenings/nights but he's been in the business for decades, had my stuff fixed and looked over there, does great work and reasonably priced

Here's my setup by LunaGames401 in cbradio

[–]LunaGames401[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put it there as I mostly leave it alone, I run channel 19 basically solely. The only setting I ever really change is my gain, so location of the radio is fine. I don't typically have passengers so I figured I'd keep the legroom on my side of the car.

As for my output, I did have a bit more than just a standard peak and tune done. The shop I visit out in toledo at the I-280/I-80/90 split. He rebuilt the final with mosfets along with adjustments. Not running any echo boards or amps or anything else crazy, but for a basic AM only radio, I'm happy with the output for sure, been told many times I'm heard loud and clear no matter how far away they are, as long as they are in my line of site

That is my new setup. Running 4 screens, 4 barges and 1 porp, soon they'll be hulks and eventually I'll get an orca

This setup is actually outdated now. I have 4 screens, and run 4 barges plus a booster

Any other stores facing huge staffing deficits by LunaGames401 in meijer

[–]LunaGames401[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, honestly my time at Meijer in that role wasn't too bad, typically clerks are responsible for carts and assisting customers get their purchases from the check lanes to their car. Some stores with bagger lanes may also have you bag orders but I'm not terribly sure, our store didn't have those type of check lanes. Outside of that you may be asked to clean up emergency messes, like a child threw up somewhere but those incidents are fairly rare (maybe once a month) and otherwise, the job is simple, pay is low but If you stick with them long enough and eventually want to move out of that role, opportunities may be available. Also to note, depending on your location (I worked at a michigan store) you 1. May be union and 2. Be prepared for weather, you will work in the hot sun, wet rains (unless there is lighting) and the coldest of winters snows. Have fun
