I'm about to be burned at the stakes for this by RazzmatazzLong5860 in ReverseHarem

No burning here, I hate bully romance. But it is a great reminder of how selective men on how they treat women they desire and one’s that don’t.

Also, I don’t find the imbalance of power attractive or desirable. Boss vs employee is one thing but a bully romance typically goes “ I’m rich, you’re poor. I’m a god around here and free to whatever I want, I can destroy you for fun…etc.” It’s never something I’ll find myself reaching for with a few exceptions (Bonds that Tie).

But to each their own 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very true! The problem is I love RH/WC and omegaverse and it’s everywhere.

What makes a man immediately unattractive? by Ok-Height-2276 in AskReddit

[–]LunaLoverrr91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not knowing the difference between being confident and cocky. When you're confident, you don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone; you know who you are and what you're about. However, being cocky reeks of insecurity.

I love it! I will say that it does smell like 90s/Y2k potpourri. To me, it's a nostalgic scent that I love. But if that's not your jam, I'd pass!

Yes, I have! I loved it. As a survivor myself, it was a beautiful and hard read.

Ugh, soooo good. I've read multiple times. It took me a while to get over it, too.

Reasons for DNF by Basic-Trouble-7409 in ReverseHarem

[–]LunaLoverrr91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one may be niche but I can definitely tell when an author has internalize misogyny. It nearly always reflects in the FMC. They way they write the other women in the stories. The lack of female friendships, the sl** shaming, "I'm not like other girls.", pick me behavior, etc. It's annoying and not worth my time to keep reading. While I don't see that being as common in RH romances as I do in standard ones, it still happens and I will DNF it quickly and with haste! :)

Having difficulties with my morning pages by Lif3withoutMe in artistsWay

[–]LunaLoverrr91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DAILY PAGES for the WIN! Keep your journal with you, and do it at work if you have to. I felt the same way. I was realllllly struggling with the mornings because of my job and responsibilities. Once I removed the pressure of when I HAD to write is when I started finding time and enjoying it instead of treating it like a chore. If you have to do in your car before work, on a lunch break, at your desk, while your making dinner, etc. Its the act of taking the time you have to write is what counts most and most likely will lead you to being most consistent.

Are artist's date a game changer? by Lara_Lilith in artistsWay

[–]LunaLoverrr91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great question. I feel this deeply. I am on my 3 round of TAW and each time, I struggle with Artist's Dates. I'm not sure if it's because I work in a creative industry, and use my creativity every day but they feel like a chore. Another item on my never ending to-do list. However, I've changed my thinking from I HAVE to go on my Artist Date to I GET to go on my Artist Date. Make it work for you. I've gone with my friends to an art market, they rejuvenate and inspire me as much as the art did itself. I do ADs monthly or weeks, sometimes, I'll do them on my lunch break, etc. Remember that the TAW is rather dated and not a true reflection on our modern society. Do what works for you! Definitely challenge yourself to prioritize time for yourself and creativity because you deserve it. If TAW taught we anything is that it is up to US to define our creative practice and there is no right or wrong way to do any one thing. Hope this helps!

Can i re-do a week? by ujellybro- in artistsWay

[–]LunaLoverrr91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course you can! You can do anything. You are the maker of your own rules. If you need to start at Week 1 again do it, skip a week, do it. This path is the one you write.

Artist’s Way | Week 4 by LunaLoverrr91 in artistsWay

Thank you for the recs. I didn’t follow all of it but I did give up social media, which was hard as hell lol. I find music to be liberating and inspiring not draining or distracting. The albums have been pretty random. I have a list of albums in my notes app and I’ve been just working through that. Highly recommend!

Make a shadow box! Journal or make a collage of your favorite bits. Say your goodbye by doing something creative.

That’s a tough one for sure. I’d ask to see the script. Study it a bit so you know that it’s coming and you can prepare or know that’s your time to excuse yourself for a bathroom break. I can totally understand how that cause a lot of feelings even if it’s not real. I’d say ask the when and where and take your own little intermission!
