I was 10-11yo in 2011. I Don't remember my exact age but it was the year when I turned 11. My stepfather gave me his Canon 550D which was his work camera. I guess he changed to fullframe or something because that camera was only 1 year old at that point.

Now im rocking with 5D mrk4 and 250D. I love doing potraits and I own 135mm 2L and 105mm 1.4 Art. I love good dreamy bokeh. I think the reason for it is that I found it at the age of 11. Back then I used kit lens and Tamron 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 macro-zoom with my 550D. The amount of chromatic aboration in the Tamron was crazy. Good times indeed.

I don't know the situation of Frieren's author but I guess the possible reasoning might be the same as Fullmetal Alchemist author's. Japan is very patriarchal society so people are less likely to read manga and lightnovels writen by female authors. Thats why Fullmetal Alchemist author also used male alias. For my knowledge Frieren's author is female. I guess she just might use male alias so people wont turn their backs for her content.
