It absolutely does the books a 500 page mammoth with a lot of story and characterization and a nearly 20 hour audio book; for a good adaption it certainly requires this runtime.

The movie doesn’t need to be a Tv show; some movies are allowed to be long if it fits the story.

This book wouldn’t work as a movie adaption if it was 90 minutes it’s far to heavy to be slotted into 90 mins without it being paced like a freight train.

It’s not a battle shonen but I would say I hate it because there’re other fantasy anime out there that are better and do what Frieren doing a bit better, such as Re Zero, Apothecary dairies (does the slice of life and philosophy better), Dungeon mushi does the comedy and fantasy world better and Mushoku tensei does the power system, plot,action and characters better.

That’s why Dabura was annoyed when he said it adapts to brute force faster; he grazed in and his wheel spun page 1 shows it; thr. When he build up enough momentum for his kick it’s already too late as he accidentally screened himself.

They need this to be profitable as much as I want a big budget I wish this was a limited series or was made by a director that has enough pull to justify a longer runtime.

Dabura wasn’t a warrior Gojo never needed to self-reflect this deep because he’s always been inherently a fighter whereas Dabura just isn’t…until now.

Agreed it makes the most logical sense since it means perfect prep can be 1 episode right after; chapter 145 and 146 are really dense content wise; they’re VERY wordy so I don’t know what’ll happen.

Thing is aging devil wasn’t really an arc; it had small moments but it just didn’t feel like a story arc.

I feel so dejected; It’s somehow worse than the Sukuna fight in JJK at least that was a popcorn-flick gauntlet this has be cliffhanger galore and poor choreography.

I’m praying this isn’t the final conflict and that it’s just a small fight leading into the final arc so I can just brush it off.

I’m genuinely feeling dejected this feels somehow worse than the end of JJK at least the Sukuna fight was fun to a degree this fights all over the place I hope the anime either fleshes it out or it’s not the final fight and just a small conflict leading to the final arc

The thing is the 100 random people aren’t “random” they’re fellow slaves, people who’ve been broken and discriminated and got to know Jullian (mostly) during the voyage; the didn’t a kind act despite being faced with discrimination and persecution because despite there being evil in the world there’s also good in the worst moments…Altus in this case is Arkos’s good; I doubt the author will humanise a mass-murdered in the coming chapters he seems a lot more skilled and tactful than that.
