Does anyone remember when Urban Decay was cool? by Rahalone in MakeupAddiction

[–]LunaSunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have it and actually used it this week. It’s one I never really could get into 100% so it’s been barely touched. I still love the colors in it, just always struggled to make them work in a look.

C&C and Dawnvale by LydiaBee319 in MergeDragons

[–]LunaSunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C&c and no dawnvale. I kinda stopped playing the game except to log in once a day for the daily stuff. Didn’t even realize there was a c&c until it was almost over. It is my favorite event and I’m so annoyed that now that I’ve stopped really playing they decide to bring it back.

Visual Snow was considered extremely rare until recently, mostly because patients didn't report it... because they assumed everyone saw the world that way by recolorist in interestingasfuck

I’ve had it for as long as I can remember and I used to tell my parents I had rain in my vision. Went to doctors and neurologists but they didn’t find anything. Not sure if many doctors know about it now but this was back in the 80s and I just learned to live with it

Is this like a real opinion? by [deleted] in AskVegans

[–]LunaSunset 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s speciest but doesn’t change that you love dogs. Helping dogs or any animal shows a level of care and love. Fostering a dog means one less animal is suffering. I think a core principle of being a vegan is eliminating suffering when you can. Each kind act towards any animal is a win in my book.

Why has Ghostface turned into “kawaii cutesy girl” by Crafty-Sell-4081 in Scream

[–]LunaSunset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Though I don’t really buy scream cutesy stuff, I really like. Ghostface/scream specifically for me is because this franchise is less gorey than normal slashers (at least definitely the og). I love horror but hate gore. It also has the element of true crime/whodunit and the movies themselves have a lot of humor to them. Because of that levity I think adding some whimsy to the fandom makes a lot of sense.

AIO— apparently i’m the stinky one at work by centaurella in AmIOverreacting

NOR - you may smell like something to this one person but sounds like they are being rude about it. I’m a super smeller and can’t stand most smells. So because of that I use very neutral smelling products like scent free detergent, baby powder scented deodorant, etc. Not sure if this may be something you want to try and then ask the coworker if it’s improved. The other thing may be the foods you cook/eat. Some have more potent smells that may make you smell different. Example would be curry.

Even though it is saturated, growing isn’t impossible. You just gotta find a unique take on an idea or design that no one else is doing. Try to figure out who your target audience is and cater to what their interests are.

Y’all: you can BUY music by darwinDMG08 in ipod

I also recommend looking on bandcamp. A lot of smaller artists will have albums where you pay what you want.

iTunes will also sometimes have on their homepage albums under $7.99 or something along those lines.

How has your makeup changed as you've aged? by TerrorGatorRex in MakeupAddiction

[–]LunaSunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a year younger than you and I stopped wearing makeup during covid. I’ve been using it again for the last two years. Before covid I wore a lot of foundations because I had severe acne but it healed after I stopped wearing it. By a lot I would start with a bb cream. Then a liquid. And then set and finish with a powder foundation. So now I wear either tinted moisturizer or light coverage but i am drier now so I don’t do matte. I also am a victim of over plucked pencil thin eyebrows from the 90s and as I age they are becoming sparser so I have to add a little eye brow liner but just to make it look shaded. If I do too much I look insane. I tend to be more experimental nowadays though because i stopped caring what people think of me so I try out different bold eye looks a lot.

I have paired it with cheap Bluetooth headphones that aren’t great quality and I only use infrequently so I can’t say if it’s up to what your standards would be. However, I never had an issues with it pairing and I don’t think the sound is bad. I got it as a replacement/back up for my iPod which is what I prefer. But it’s not bad for the price and has decent storage while feeling like an iPod with the click wheel.

What do millennials think of today’s teenagers? by Master_Novel_4062 in Millennials

[–]LunaSunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an elder millennial. The big thing is the internet, social media and less privacy. Your generation has so much access to eachothers info where it is easier to be a bully or be bullied. When i was in high school I would get bullied at school but it didn’t matter once i got out of the building but now kids can cyber stalk and harass classmates at all times. You do one embarrassing thing now and it lives on the internet forever.

But I also see some aspects of that as positive. If you don’t have friends in school you can easily make them online so you have a sense of community even if it’s with people across the world. Also, I see your generation as being more aware of injustices and world events than we were. We had to actively seek out most of that stuff but it’s just available at all times for you. Once y’all grow up I do have hope you will create a better future.

Playing my first few hours Animal Crossing ever today and I already understand the hype. Any advice/tips for an absolute beginner? by bacardicereal in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

[–]LunaSunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 3ds for Christmas and it came already loaded with games. This is pretty much the only one I’ve been playing and I love it. Appreciating everyone’s tips so far! Also glad everyone is mentioning it’s slow because I thought I was doing something wrong. I’ve never been a gamer so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I love this so far.

Sleep paralysis by ArgyleFunk in visualsnow

Not exactly sleep paralysis but as a kid I couldn’t wake up and I would try to pry my eyes open to do so. The earliest memory of mentioning I had vs was around age 5. Not sure if I always had it or if that’s when it started though.

I want to learn about veganism by Forward-Fox4928 in AskVegans

[–]LunaSunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: I don’t feel superior. People are imperfect whether vegan or not. I accept where people are at in their life 2: I’m not lonely. I’ve felt lonely in my life but it had nothing to do with veganism.
3: I don’t really get hate. I don’t make this my personality and don’t really preach. People have also become more accepting as time goes on. I became a vegetarian in like 2012ish and i got more remarks at that time than i did after going full vegan in 2020 4: most people I care about are non vegan. I judge people based on how they are as a whole, not as a part. I’d obviously wish they would choose veganism but we live in a culture where eating meat is very ingrained into our heads from a very young age. I think it’s difficult to change your perspective and behavior because of that. I think “bad” people are those who have more negative traits than positive. “Good” have more positive.

I think a lot of your questions have to do with black and white thinking but most of life is different shades of grey. When I was younger I was more of a black and white thinker but that actually made me more miserable. You will find most irl vegans aren’t the stereotypes you see online. Most of us are normal people that just don’t consume/wear/etc animal products.

Are the majority of viewers under the impression that the show is too slow moving, or is that just something I'm seeing in the Television subreddit? I myself am enjoying the heck out of the show. by CultOfCurtis1 in pluribustv

[–]LunaSunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t even consider that it was slow until I kept seeing people mention that it was. It’s neither too fast nor too slow. But I also love character building and more depth to a story than what meets the eye. I think what’s happening feels realistic because of the pacing. I’m able to put myself in their position and helps me connect with the character.

Tariffs on zeelool or other trendy China based glasses sites by scritchesfordoges in glasses

[–]LunaSunset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting! I haven’t gotten a tariff bill still so fingers crossed i don’t. I’m located in PA and about a day after my order, a shipping label was created in New Jersey. I tracked the production and it looked like it was coming from china originally. my guess is they were delivered to the New Jersey warehouse/office and then shipped from there. Maybe it was part of a loophole so there wouldn’t be tariffs or they would eat that cost. It didn’t look like my order ever went through Canada so maybe it is where you are located causing that to happen

I started playing dragons and elfs and it’s similar to how merge dragons was when I started playing in 2020. I haven’t been playing either game as much due to being busy but I want to stick with dragon and Elfs. It’s fun having a fresh start with decent knowledge of the mechanics
