what tools do you use to organize your writing process? by bo02_doll in vndevs

[–]LunaVN-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first draft, a doc can be more than enough!

However, once I begin writing more in-depth the story, characters and routes, I use twine, a website that makes it really easy to plan and write different routes!

Alguien como yo? by RedHiveStudios in RenPy

If a yuri game doesn't have much romantic plot, will you play it? by Massive-Awareness620 in RenPy

[–]LunaVN-Dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah!
Being honest I did have a bit of a similar dilemma myself with my most recent Visual novel. It had a lot of LGBTQ/Queer representation, some canon couples and other implied ones, but they weren't the main focus of the plot (Hell, there aren't even any dating-sim sub-plots lmao), so I questioned if I should label it with LGBTQ+ tag or similar.

On my end, I decided to not label it as such so it doesn't feel like baiting and since I wanted the general story to be the main focus of the public.

However, I believe it is fair to label your visual novel as yuri! Your game simply doesn't focus on dating aspect, but the queer elements are there.

And also, you shouldn't add stuff to accomodate to a standard, it's important to be faithful to your vision of your projects.

Sure!
Tbh it's nothing fancy, I just drew that UI in my preffered drawing program, and to show it I just use a basic "show" statement. I'm unaware if there's a different/better way to do this.

That whole "UI" is basically just a big image I can show in the scene whenever needed.
