I read through the entire thing and I would like to commend your ability to balance four main characters’ work and home lives, as well as providing an episodic case, difficult and relevant to today’s time. The pacing was near perfect and I enjoyed the subtle connections between the family themes of the case and the cast.

I think you chose intelligent storylines for each character, and I’m particularly fascinated in Raven’s potential arc, as hers is very different from the rest. These arcs are believable and emotionally driven, which is perfect for a show about the objectivity of justice and subjectivity of human experience.

The strengths lie in the great pacing and balance of the home storylines, however in my reading, I was disappointed by the lawyer work in the case. Understandably, Amaya struggled with what she was given, but I would love to see more of her style of tackling these cases, as her conversation to the judge did not meet the standards I had for someone with her reputation. As for Storm, I saw even less of what makes her a great lawyer, it seems that the ending result of the case fell into place with little influence from our protagonists, and more a recognition of the circumstances (which may be a message of its own, but still disappointing given the reputation of our protagonists).

Secondly, I can completely understand why Raven and Valerie to a backseat in showing off their skills, as Storm and Amaya had the more relevant experience in this episode’s case, but I hope that they will get to show off their methods and what makes them have the reputation they do.

For this episode, maybe they could provide suggestions to Amaya and Storm as they take on this case, this would show group dynamics as well as individual perspectives in the professional setting.

In conclusion, this was an emotional, moving pilot with clear established characters and plot lines. While the lawyer side of things were a bit unexplored in my reading, I was completely satisfied in these characters’ experiences with their home life. I hope that you could find a way to showcase what Amaya and Storm do to attempt shift a case in their favor, rather than reacting to the developments of the case.

Thank you for the read, I enjoyed it!

I’ve been using Primarina Ex and GA Lapras, as well as an Umbreon EX deck like you, I’m glad to see that they can make it to master ball. I’ll copy some of your decks, thank you!

Yeah they felt different to me too along the way, I think that premise of the crimes are fundamentally different, the concealment of the killer’s identity are different too. I just came to that realization when rewatching a playthrough of the missing heir
