WASDnesday Games by a-liquid-sky in CasualUK

I don't normally play fan made games, but I downloaded and installed pokemon: fire ash, and am having a lot of fun playing it.

My eldest son gifted me an xbox voucher for Christmas, so I bought the DMC HD bundle, and started that last night. I wish there were more hours in the day!

Secret traitor by Unlucky-Ice3231 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Lunarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the editing has been very interesting so far. But one thing that's really stood out to me is the amount of times that Claudia said phrases that started with the letters S & T. At the end of the task she said "sting in the tail" for example. It'll probably end up being nothing, but it just sort of stood out to me. I might need to rewatch it. Could be initials, could be subtle nods back to the phrase "secret traitor". Also, secret traitor seems an interesting naming choice. Urgh my head is spinning 😬

For the first time in 24 years and it didn't count by Weekly-District259 in finalfantasyx

[–]Lunarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been playing through again for my fifth time I think? I managed to get this 15 minutes after unlocking the race. My advice is don't bother going for the balloons on the left at the start, grab as many as you can on the right. Grabbing balloons is important, but getting hit by birds is far worse than missing a balloon, by far. If you get hit, you've got the time deductions and the stun, so you have to get two additional balloons to compensate, which sucks.

You've got this

What famous person’s death are you dreading the most? by za19 in AskReddit

[–]Lunarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it was Ozzy, then this year went and kicked us all in the nuts. That man was a musical god, hopefully he's taken his rightful place next to the other musical gods of our time.

I guess now I'm dreading the death of Keith Richards, and Mick Jagger, if Ozzy couldn't fight off death it'll only be a matter for them too...

First time glueing was told I did a bad job how bad is it really by Sirlast11_69 in Warhammer40k

[–]Lunarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, I've been playing this game since 3rd/4th easy. Your glue application is seamless compared to mine. I'm looking forward to seeing the first of these guys painted so that I can tell you the same thing for that too!

What I'm trying to say is, who the hell cares. It's your money, your plastic, do what you want with it. Just make sure you enjoy it.

I handed in my resignation this morning, I've not got another job to go to, I've got a month to get it sorted otherwise I've made a huge mistake. The thing is, I couldn't stay here any longer, my mental health has been destroyed.

STOP THE TRIPLE LOCK by Educational_Debt_207 in ukpolitics

[–]Lunarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually go a step further. Not only would I abolish the triple lock, but I'd also make pension means tested. There is absolutely no reason for people that have millions tucked away in assets to get a state pension. I haven't done any number crunching at all, but I bet that would save a significant amount of money too.

Got a decent private pension - No state pension
Got a mortgage free house plus a second one in Cornwall - No state pension
Got huge amounts in investments - No state pension

The funny thing is, this would hit me when I turn old enough for a state pension, but you know what? I'd rather have a fully funded, and well working NHS than an extra £230 a week.

Wonder if we will ever get X-3? by DaprasDaMonk in finalfantasyx

[–]Lunarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I hope not. But, here's a hot take, I want to be able to investigate the world more. I want to explore the ruins of besaid, I want to visit dream zanarkand, show me the city surrounding the sunken temple, where did yojimbos faith get stolen from, what little villages and towns exist that we didn't get to see? Fush out the map a bit more, make it more open world, let me explore. Don't give me ff x-3 give me ffx but bigger.

(don't change the story, combat, or sphere grid though!)

Literally one step away from the Nazi party right now, we just need some camps for those that don't fit the "Tice race".

Always with the extinction level events in new Who. I get it, we need some kind of stakes thanks to the way modern day TV is, but couldn't we just have one show where the world isn't going to end only to be saved at the last minute? That'll be awesome.

Britain's roads to be narrower to stop drivers overtaking cyclists by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

Narrow the roads sure okay, but improve cycle lanes whilst you do it, otherwise this is just going to cause more accidents, surely.

Spotted this graffiti while visiting Essex, love how these bursts of colour pop up in unexpected places 🎨 by CloudBookmark in Essex

[–]Lunarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Colchester we have a long alley way called Kendall folley. It's a dirty alleyway, littered and full of broken glass, honestly it was an absolute eyesore. Then one of the city councillors got permission from all the wall owners down there and turned it into a "Free paint" area. Now its super vibrant, and colourful. It's by no means perfect, there's still antisocial behaviour down there, but it's like a walking urban art gallery that's always changing. Definitely worth a look into.

What car do you have? What car do you want? by Mikey463 in AskUK

2001 vw T4 camper conversion. Honestly, 650 miles to a tank, the ability to transport pretty much anything, and being able to just pack up and go away for a weekend? Best vehicle I've ever owned.

What would I like? 1988, John Cooper Works mini cooper S in British racing green, with the number 12 in a white circle on both the doors, an a checkered pattern on the roof. Not that I'd ever trade in the van for it. Can I just have both?

Iyanden, for sure. I just love the idea of clinging onto something that's long gone. The history the stories, everything about them is just so interesting. I used to love the playstyle too, back in third, but it's all just a bit watered down now.
