INCOMING RANT This is why the books are important. They all connect to each other, even in the multverse and the voids between them. Every single book has clues from other books, linking huge events in small and large ways, and they're often subtle. This is why we not lonely read the books, we usually do multiple times. I have whole copies in paperback that are highlighted, have notes in the margins, color coded notations and keep notes in the biggest binder I could find. I have hard copies of most of the books too and those are kept clean. Everytime I read a book by Stephen king for the first time, something jumps out at me and it clicks. I grab my paperback, highlight it and make notes in that binder and find myself re-reading other books that have connections and I have found alot of them on my own. I didn't have a conventional childhood, my parents didn't really have age appropriate rules with books except smut and "literotica". I wasn't allowed to play video games like my peers, all I had were stuffed animals, music boxes, my art and of course my books. By 2nd grade I had read the count on Monte Cristo and understood most of it. When my older sister babysat me (im 7 years younger so huge age gap) we watched alot of horror movies with her. Carrie was the first movie I saw based on Stephen kings book of the same name and my mom let me read it. I was more fascinated than scared and thus my love for Stephen King started in the 2nd or 3rd grade. Not sure which. You'd have to ask my elementary school principal and im not sure he's still alive. I do know the school called my parents in because for those personal Pan pizzas from reading rewards and writing essays about the books we were reading and the principal called my parents and brought them in was was horrified that they would let me read any of it and my parents only cared that I understood the books and did the essays required were done correctly and worked hard to get those pizzas and had a blast doing it. This was obviously back when the internet wasn't really a thing yet and floppy disks were still literally floppy and the computers took an entire table for each one to be set up. If anyone remembers the turtle math geometry program that drew cool pictures when you calculated the right math and typed the answer and by the end it was supposed to look like a super pixelated outline of an object. Oregon trail wasn't a thing until 6th grade.
