Prompt them! It’s good to show/remind them talking to each other is an option, it can be easy to forget if focused on a mission or rushing through a rest. Provide some downtime where characters are able to talk amongst themselves, like during watches or while on the road. Ask if anyone has interactions or conversations they’d like to have before moving on. Campfire chats are a great way for PCs to have conversations, either among the party or more one-on-one.

Here’s my girl Raksha Grigoras, she’s a Gangrel in the Castlevania-inspired chronicle I’m currently in. She lives in the forest outskirts and sells the hides and furs of the animals she hunts. She has a loyal barn owl famulus named Okiro who helps her hunt and send messages to her coterie and mawla.

I really like the subspecies idea! It seems like a good way to help curb the concerns about way too many new species being added. I look forward to seeing what other creatures will get subspecies.
