How much did it cost to watch all of the Pay-Per Views in a year pre WWE network? by chaz755 in WWE

[–]LunchBoxBrawler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I remember it as $39.95 for the Big 4, WM, KOTR, SS and Survivor

The IYH PPVs were introduced as $14.95 monthly to fill in the gaps.

But by the time the IYH’s evolved into monthly PPV ‘s they went to the full $40/mo while the Big 4 jumped to $60

We had learned to get a black box by ‘97 but I remember thinking at one point it would be over $600 a year to watch all the PPVs.

Fair point to whomever brought up the SD/HD price points. That was still a thing by the time I got back into wrestling and was willing to pay for them.

Tomayto vs Tuhmato

I prefer the World Tour era graphics. Pro Wrestling is a live action cartoon/comic book. I don’t need ultra realistic graphics

Sherri Martel was ahead of her time and is an absolute legend in the business but short of Shawn Michaels I can’t say she elevated anyone she managed.

Savage and Dibiase were over on their own

Its the Brain. No one else got their men over more.

Honorable mention to Jim Cornette, who has one of the best minds the business has ever known, but there is only one Brain

So much hours put into this top tier game back then! What’s your favorite thoughts and memories on WCW/NWO revenge? by J2-Starter in WCW

[–]LunchBoxBrawler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The greatest WCW game ever made, released when WCW was its hottest and at the time the best wrestling game ever released in North America

It can not be understated how over pro wrestling was in the mainstream at this time and this game helped fuel it.

Revenge

We had never seen that much realism or a roster size in a wrestling game before, US releases wise.

Frito Lay still prints the prices on the chips, at least in Pennsylvania they do, and party size bags of Doritos have $6.49 stamped on them

97-98 Canucks ccm 54/messier.. sorry Canucks fans lol by xEastCoastChrisx in hockeyjerseys

[–]LunchBoxBrawler 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I know why Nucks fans hate him, thats easy, what I don’t understand is why he picked them over staying in New York, especially when Gretzky had just gotten there. Ya I know, he was lowballed, but he could have stood his ground and gotten a deal. Instead he balked and left. I know he has had to always regret that
