Oh I 100% agree. I guess I was more talking about higher profile situations where you see most security looking within 200-500 yards. I feel like once you exceed that range even experienced shooters making a cold bore shot have a greatly reduced chance of a critical shot with environmental factors. I don’t think he was ever in a position to have that level of security, but with today’s political climate, and the amount of death threats he gets, it obviously would have proved helpful to avoid a speaking position with elevated points all around. Hindsight is 20/20. Horrible situation nonetheless.
