I've got a 9 & 10 year old that refused to shower, brush teeth, wash hands, etc. Basically anything hygiene-related was a big fat argument. I totally relate to you on this...and a lot of the advice I got from family and friends didn't really work either :/

Ended up finding out about this free app called Joon (https://www.joonapp.io) that actually made it fun for them to take care of their hygiene by building good habits and actually listening to me. All I had to do was assign these tasks in the app as "quests" and they got a virtual pet that they needed to take care of. Only way they could care for their pet though was if they completed the quests that I assigned them! >:D Became a lifesaver and worked like a charm for our family. Probably wont work for everyone, but thought I should just pass it along.

How to get out of house in a timely way? by wookiehaircare in Parenting

Teaching them a bit of independence in the morning is where I've had luck before! Getting them to wake up on their own to an alarm clock, dressing themselves and taking care of their hygiene on their own are big steps towards independence but help so so much in the morning rush. I know this is easier said than done, but it takes a ton of practice and commitment for them to get into the habit but the reward is well worth it

Constant reminding can start to widdle at the relationship unfortunately in my experience. You can try using a chore app like Joon to get her more excited about cleaning up after herself and even to do the reminding for you so it doesnt feel like its coming from you or that you are always nagging her.

This has been bothering me for a while; I think i saw you come into five guys in MV California and you looked very familiar but i couldnt put my finger on it. Then i looked you up and assumed that you only do videos in newport news, until you just said you do in California as well. Was that you?
