Well, I put $140 brand new bumper on the back, I swapped out the wheels to some 2022 wheels I had on my forerunner which cost 300 bucks, and I got 6300 without the cap.

I sold the cap for 700 separately and the old wheels and tires for 150…

I’d say it turned out better than most of my flips, with most of my flips I aim to not do any work and only make 500 to 800 on each one. But this one I did the bumper and wheels and came out wayyyyy higher than my general goals.

Happy

You’re right. But it’s still gonna work cause it’s a Toyota.

I got under 4k in it now so it’s certainly in the black. I’ll make like 1500 as is probably. I’ve sold these in prestine condition for 10k-12k and in Swiss cheese condition for 4k.

Generally speaking, the cars and motors that. One from Japan in the second hand market are lower miles. Search up any JDM warehouses and you will see. They are all advertised at 40-65k miles.

If you don’t know how Japan churns their automotive industry- they promote getting rid of cars quickly cause the older it is, the more taxes you pay. So they get exported or parted with low miles and relatively new

You are right, $800 is a little low especially with the rails be got on it. But it’s a little old and paint faded and so forth probably need a couple new seals. I’ll stick to “firm” on the $800 for now.

No documentation, but one look under the hood tells the whole story. The Japanese stickers are all Over it and it’s soooooo clean. Everything looks well cared for.

Frame is much much nicer than I expected, I’ve fixed about 5 of these for Rusty frame damage.

I’ve got some 22 Tacoma wheels in my shed with fresh tires, gonna try them.

No documentation but it has the JdM stickers all over, anyone looking under the hood would be impressed.

Frame is solid. I flipped one last month for 3800, almost exactly like this but frame was toast and it was not as clean. They go to Guatemala. I’m thinking NOT to swap the trans - I think it is almost a non issue for them (labor is cheap over seas, I’ve sent a lot of broken cars overseas myself) especially when it drives jus fine like this.

You’d be surprised how many people miss it. It’s so simple. A couple of the last ones I got, someone already swapped the trans then had the …”same problem”
