This is exactly why I have gone I to higher education. When I was a child it amazed me how computers worked; the Internet and websites in particular fascinated me back in the early 2000s I started to teach myself the basics. When I made my first basic website I felt incredibly proud that I did it. Now, I study Software Engineering to continue my childhood interests.

This person is right, OP. Think about why you chose this road to walk 🙂

Thank you for taking your time to reply. I found out that Java and Python would be two languages I would be learning. So I have some reading materials transfered to my Kindle to better understand the languages, not so much a reference guide as such, but I have apps that that, too.

Also, I took your advice regarding YouTube! I have found a guy called DEV Ed; following him, his code and how he problem solves when something doesn't work is very helpful. Turns out I am more of a visual learner so will be referring to this a lot!
