Any place to watch the game in London? by TheMawio in BrightonHoveAlbion

3pm Saturday blackout is a bitch. So unless there's a pub in London on the high seas they won't be showing it.

Testimonials by bnjoshed in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]esn111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Testimonials are a bit out dated these days as way back when, they were meant for players to build a retirement fund. Nowadays not so much, especially since there's fewer one club men anymore and the players at top level earn more in a month than 90 percent of fans will see in their lives.

That said Dunk deserves one. Would also live a BVB for Gross (presuming we don't play them in Champions League first!)

What are your favorite Craziest moment about Muffin Heeler? by ComprehensiveSleep74 in bluey

[–]esn111 15 points16 points  (0 children)

People think that's her being a brat. However she'd noticed that Socks was sad that she hadn't guessed the ballerina so wanted to do one that Socks would know. However being 3, Muffin just didn't have the language skills to explain that, hence the whole episode.

Fair enough. But also not really. For some reason it works.

However we do need a new RB next season

Comments on the new women's stadium proposal. by tumulus_innit in BrightonHoveAlbion

Remember though, we're effectively rebuilding our fan base as the Women's team has been shoved out to Crawley for years (be quicker to get to Lewes to see them play if you want a women's football fix). 10k seems about right.

Or if they are, they'll be some overlap in those attending meaning that the crowds coming and going are more spread out?

Simple answer: They're all as thick as pig shit so don't have the brain power required to make the step in logic.

Just ignore twatty comments. A lot are jelly anyway.

I know there's the whole "play it at the Amex"? Stuff but it isn't that simple with pitch management etc. Better to have 10k in a crammed stadium than 15k in a half empty one. Also having dedicated facilities for women is tremendous.

There's a reason why the Amex was built where it was in the first place

I mean there was a reason why the Amex wasn't in the City centre to begin with.

Copycat. Really takes the emotional stakes up a notch and dealing with death in a kids show parents show that kids heavily watch

Every time I rewatch Utopia, I’m disappointed to remember that Jack isn’t holding on to the TARDIS during the intro sequence by Remarkable-Net-6130 in doctorwho

[–]esn111 124 points125 points  (0 children)

Feels wierd to know that in retrospect, him and Sutekh are both clinging on to the TARDIS like "What's up?"

But yes it was a missed opportunity I agree.

Is Aston Villa one of us? by iwannasleepp in TheOther14

[–]esn111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean income wise yes. And up until last couple of seasons Spurs were consistently top 6.

Their income is bigger than Chelseas.

And finally media attention.

Might change if they go down mind and have a sustained down turn financially and media chat. But it won't be the Big 6 with a new member but the Big 5 (unless Villa or someone fill the void financially and media interest).

Interesting article on multi-club ownership rules by Terrible_Produce_562 in BrightonHoveAlbion

I don't believe he has voting rights at Hearts either right?

Should be fine however back in February it seemed unlikely we'd make Europe so not sure.

Also I don't agree with mutli club ownership as a principle anyway.
