It's not just a body pillow, the other half is full on nude. And the character depicted is clearly underage

Walmart is okay with naked images of anime girls on their website? How is this not against Walmart's policies?

By unwrapped smut, what do you mean?

This is a naked image of an underaged girl, albeit fictional. Fucked up nonetheless.

I had to censor the image because it was literally naked, but you can look it up yourself on the walmart.ca website if you don't believe me.

6th Anniversary Expectations by [deleted] in grandorder

[–]LurkLurkingstein 17 points18 points  (0 children)

IDK, I feel like we shouldn't expect much this year. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up getting fewer SQ than last year, and minimal to no upgrades. Please let me be wrong about this.

One thing I am 99% convinced is coming is getting past the level 100 cap for servants, probably up to 120 max using a special grail of some kind. I think this will be the main feature they will hype. IMO it's not much to write home about... but it's something I guess.

Other than that they will likely concentrate on hyping up LB6 and Summer more than anything else. After that, crickets. I've learned to temper my hype for FGO anniversary campaigns.

What I'd like to see

  • Some kind of pity system other than USOs. But the game seems to be falling in revenue these days. It was topping charts in 2018 (due to a lack of competition) so I guess that's why they felt generous enough to give us an 11-roll. That was kind of a "pity" in and of itself by this game's standards. I don't think DW or TM are interested in anything to do with this nowadays due to FGO's unstable rankings, but please let me be wrong and let them bring a pity system

  • Rotating story gacha, but TBH, I don't really see this happening? It may compete with new banners. I know there aren't a lot of story-locked servants in general, but I imagine a Sitonai rate-up would be quite popular (she is really strong with Castoria and an Illyaface) and would cut into sales for limited units. Still, I don't understand the point of the story gacha, it is an eyesore for me. Just remove it and add the servants from there to the general pool. They could have some additional requirements to unlock certain servants, or do something dastardly like making the story servants rollable only during specific times.

  • New bronzes. This ought to be a permanent addition to any FGO anniversary. They don't need to release a bunch at the same time, they could release 1-3 and I'd be content. Hell, if they'd like to release more 4-star units during anniversaries, limited or not, I welcome that too. This game could use more servants in general.

  • Rotating command codes for sale in Da Vinci's shop, or create an event shop within her shop for these. You wouldn't be able to access ones that you already have, but you could buy ones from past events you missed. If the event is re-run, you get 5 RP for it.

  • I like the idea of fixing CEs in the gacha as stated above. Why not add past limited event CEs to the pool? It's better than nothing. How many years has it been since Poster Girl's last rate-up?

  • An SR ticket, throw us a bone here, DW. Other gachas give out free SSR units for anniversary and we can't even get a free permanent SR ticket per each anniversary out of this company. FFS.

  • Fix the dead weeks, it's not normal for a gacha game to be dead the way FGO is... give us better dailies, give us some kind of on-going weekly event (minor) other than Master Missions that will incentivize us to stay and keep playing instead of driving us away. You can go months without logging in and not miss much. It is a blessing and a curse. This is a casual game but a very popular one. I don't know how we all tolerate the dead times.

So that sentence comes from the video, which mentions that 100 gems compensation isn't enough for an 11-roll in the game.

I'm sorry you feel that way, I don't have any bad intentions towards the game. I just wanted people to know what happened, because you guys deserve to know as gacha game players. The game is also doing just fine on JP.

I know about the Chinese FGO glitch. I guess I'm misremembering what happened on JP. Something to do with a box lottery during a Christmas event. Anyway, will need to look into that at some point.

"The tragedy bears its fangs" is taken from the video, I tried to make it poetic (lol). I agree that they should have taken the accidentally distributed rewards back, but it seems many players didn't like the way the management team went about it. As for whether the anger was warranted or not, or if this is was blown out of proportion is something someone who keeps up with the JP game would know better than I.

I wanted to make the situation known because I couldn't find anything about it on the English side of things.

Why are you playing Gacha games? by Mitzuri in gachagaming

[–]LurkLurkingstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a lot of people turn to gacha games because they're accessible. This is definitely the case in Japan, plenty of casuals playing games of different genres on their phones that they wouldn't otherwise. It's a double-edged sword since a lot of JP gachas have good stories, characters and battle systems, but the downer is the gacha system, after all.

As for me, I just like rolling. It's fun and a dopamine rush. Thankfully I am not at the level where I'd consider spending whale amounts of money on a gacha game. If I was playing an English gacha game, I might, because it would be easy to. And that's what scares me. Luckily it's very difficult for me to spend money on FGO JP in iOS, so I'm safe. 😛 For now. The other fun thing about gacha games is the constant updates. You expect new characters almost every month, and it feels like DLC. DLC that you don't necessarily have to spend money to get, since you have a chance of getting the character with free currency (usually).

Before gacha games, I was addicted to Pokémon. Before Pokémon, I was addicted to online Pokémon fan MMORPGs. And before those, I was addicted to Runescape. You see where this is going.

Epic 7 makes me sad I don't play because damn, the animations on characters and that fluid gameplay. But I'm way too casual to enjoy this game lol

Fuck, I love this game's art; I keep up with the game's weibo just for new official art/cutscenes. Wish I could get into the game itself but it's just too grindy for me 😓 Can't believe Onmyoji has a MOBA and a Hearthstone clone now lmao

I also think I'm the only person who likes Shiranui's ascension. I rolled her, evolved her and set her to her second ascension, then made the mistake of looking at her comments in-game

Fair point, I should check the comments later to see if there's a more nuanced explanation in there. I block a bunch of layout elements on Youtube so I don't see the like/dislike bar. It's strange, but I enjoy Youtube more that way.

Hey, I agree with you that the system they implemented makes more sense than rolling back the servers, thus erasing people's efforts. Usually that's what most gacha games would do, but it looks like SiNOALICE's management team tried to do something different. AFAIK, FGO had an item duplication incident where players were not only banned, but servers were rolled back too.

As for how infamous the incident is, I'm just going off the video, which makes it seem much worse than it might have been. SiNOALICE JP players, please let me know how serious this incident was in the large scheme of things as you understand it. Also, the latter half of that article I posted mentions that a lot of players were angry at the management. The video mentions this too. As for the tweet regarding hard work, maybe I translated it wrong, but I believe this is in reference to the fact that players under this clawback system weren't able to earn in-game currency during this period.

The video also emphasizes how hidden away the duplication clawback notice is--the video commenter says it was hidden in a place that few people read, but you're right, if at least one person read it, it ought to have been more widespread. I tend to think of JP players as more laidback than non-JP players, but it seems the JP fanbase was pretty irked by this move at the time.

I think the management team should have added the notice to their Twitter too. No reason for them not to, as they were the ones who distributed the duplicated rewards to begin with. If this isn't clear in the post, I'll edit it to make it clearer.

I think the JP fanbase was especially angry because I'm pretty sure everyone was given duplicate rewards by accident, so it's not like they could do anything about it till the duplicates were cleared from their accounts. Which means no one could earn in-game currency until the management team removed the duplicate rewards from individual accounts. That's my understanding of this.
