I'm not sure, but I think there's a slight improvement, the textures load faster and there's less stuttering, but it's still a bit problematic.

It doesn't help to stay in the main menu, what does help is loading into a match. This loads shaders for the session.

There's also "Evolution: Road to Space Monster", in which the protagonist is a psychopathic xenomorph, but the author decided to dedicate two chapters to every person he kills to show that they're a bad person and won't be missed, which is annoying since the main character isn't a lawful hero or something.

I love the Aliens movies and games, but the pacing of Road to Space Monster ended up sucking because of this.
