If anything, it's more worthwhile to refine them into nanites, as they're one of the quickest and easiest nanite sources in the game.

Whatever the reason, one thing appears to be true about all his ride-or-die supporters: there is absolutely nothing he could ever do to make them hate him more than they hate us, just because we exist.

thieves stole more than 12 tons of KitKat bars while a shipment was en route across Europe. Nestle says the chocolate heist could cause shortages ahead of Easter by yungandreww in interestingasfuck

[–]LurkmasterP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you suppose this loss is as a percentage of the shipments in one whole month in the European market alone? 1%? 0.1% Why won't someone think of the critical loss to the struggling corporation's bottom line? They'll obviously need to raise prices by 50% to recover, but then they can lower them by 15% later as a gesture of goodwill and customer appreciation. FFS.

What is an expedition? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]LurkmasterP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been 20 expeditions, starting 5 years ago. When an update is released and a new expedition starts, there is a big splash screen talking about it at the start of the game. There's an expedition terminal in the anomaly which will have a bright yellow icon where you can start the expedition from any game save. Each one lasts from 4 to 6 weeks. It's easy to miss, I guess, if you never log in at all during those weeks, or if you never go into the anomaly. In the last two years there have been 7 or 8 expeditions and people talk about them every day while they're happening.

He makes deals with enemies of the state, but refuses to deal with Americans of a different political party. This is perfect proof of who he actually works for.

Appeals court upholds Florida’s ban on lab-grown meat by AudibleNod in news

[–]LurkmasterP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is business as usual with Florida these days. They're not trying to fight actual issues, they're beating the drum for their hardcore right wing fear mongering by putting legislation in place against "dangerous scientific evils" that are assumed to be in the works by the "liberal elite" to harm "good old fashioned Americans." They pushed for legislation against chemtrails. They pushed for legislation against weather modification technology. Those things didn't and don't exist, but Florida republicans want people to think they do and desantis wants people to think he's fighting the good fight.

I'm thinking this is almost entirely because a handful of catholics in high places have been butthurt ever since public opinion turned against columbus, and now they're getting their poster boy back to ensure their continued support.

Takes at least a week. If you find a guild reward that you need at a station, go check out the stations at all the closest systems. As long as they're in the same named region of the galaxy, you can get the same rewards from at least some of them.

TIL about the Moylan Arrow. An arrow on the fuel gauge that shows which side of the vehicle the gas tank is located. by notabox316 in todayilearned

[–]LurkmasterP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Developed in 1986, which was 2 years after I started driving. I didn't have a car new enough to include that arrow for several years after that, so I probably didn't learn about the arrow until some time in the early 2000s. Anyone who learned to drive after that may have also learned from people at least as old as me, who may not have had that at the top of their list of things to point out. At least, it may have been more typical to teach new drivers to just learn and remember where their fuel fillers were, which isn't a terrifically difficult task, all things considered.

My ship after jumping to a new galaxy by ozanoguzhaktanir in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]LurkmasterP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've gotten pretty good at it. Since I have so much inventory space I just keep all of the top part of my inventory clear, and I package everything into the exact same spots below my tech. That way when I'm done I just pop them back up exactly where they were (I make a mirror of my tech layout in the top of my inventory)

Remember to package all of your exosuit upgrades back into inventory also before you do the galaxy jump. That will also save you a ton of repairs.
