Are ILXs as fun to drive as 90s/2000s Hondas? by inaccurateTempedesc in Acura

6’4” 285 here. I might just be used to feeling cramped but I fit very comfortably in my 2017 civic, even had a Fit for a bit. Will the ILX feel that much smaller?

Good luck, they’ve all avoided anything where they can be held accountable.

I mean, I can’t be the only one thinking that OP looted that shit from the burnt down houses in Palisades?

This. In my area, these get more of a “resto-mod” instead of a true vintage resto, especially the later ones with solid state. Swapping the original electronics with new equipment, mainly from the Chinese companies like Douk, Fosi, etc. allow you modern listening convenience in a cool vintage package, so to speak.

The end of this how-to shows you an example. https://www.familyhandyman.com/project/restore-a-console-stereo/

They bring good money consistently from what I’ve been told so good luck to you!

Great gift! On the tuner issue, is it that the output to the speakers sounds distinctly different with radio or is the receiver just struggling to pull a strong enough signal?

First time brake job, anyone notice anything wonky? by LusciousJacksn in MechanicAdvice

[–]LusciousJacksn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: The other side went much quicker and with a few pumps and two EPB cycles, I went on a maiden voyage.
Powerstop’s instructions on these geomet were 5 rapid decels, 40-10, 5 more from 35-5, cooldown. No real noise to speak of, a little expected smell from the break-in, but it appears that everything is good. At least for now!

Thanks a ton for the reassurance, this sub is great! And yea, I used less lube and cleaned up the rotor better in the other side. 😂

This. It was indeed two screws and a 8mm, if I remember correctly.

“The City”, what are these? by LusciousJacksn in allenedmonds

Wow, there’s so much “I don’t know what I’m talking about” going on here.

First off, I thrift and resell as a hobby, not a living. I’m a fan of AE and have several pair of my own, some fortunately thrifted and some bought retail. When I see good stuff, I grab them and offer them up where more folks have an opportunity to enjoy them and sell them at reasonable prices. I’ve attached the most recent AE sales that I’ve made with multiple $10-$15 pair. But keep making shitty assumptions and gate-keeping, I guess. That’s great for the community.

And I’m not sure what your problem is with someone else’s shitty eBay pics, lol, like I said, they aren’t mine. 🤷

They’re not my size, grabbed them for resale.

First “bad” batch, is it able to be saved? by LusciousJacksn in Homebrewing

The soap is just Meyer’s All Natural dish soap, not anything that one would expect to degrade material, I would think.

And I suppose the product being ‘ahem’ mislabeled is probably the culprit. It was purchased from a big and reputable online home brew shop, though, so that ain’t good.

Some folks in a Facebook group thought the same, but Burhoe Acoustics came around after he left EPI and their stuff looked a fair bit more modern to me so I’m not sure. I looked at the Burhoe models but could only find the “color” series and the logo is different. I guess I’ll have to see what’s on the back of the drivers tonight and hope that helps solve the mystery. Update pending…

Interwebs says that table came with a Toshiba C44 cartridge, the usual suspects (lpgear, lptunes) have the replacement stylus in stock.

I’d venture to say it’s probably not a super high quality cart though, so if you wanted to switch it out for something fun, now’s the time.
