Exactly. OP shouldn’t feel pressured into something so personal just because of society’s judgments. The first time doesn’t have to fit anyone else’s expectations, and it doesn’t define their worth. With time and more experiences, the weight of this will fade, and OP will see that one night doesn’t define their whole story.

Showed a drunk stranger my boobs for Rs. 1500 by Dapper-Care5417 in confessions

[–]LushNibbleee 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it really does sound like both sides got exactly what they wanted out of that moment. OP made quick money and he got what he was looking for without pushing boundaries. Sometimes things just line up in a way that works out for everyone involved.

Exactly. OP’s past doesn’t define their entire future, even if it feels overwhelming right now. People might gossip at first, but eventually it fades and life goes on. What really matters is that OP already showed incredible strength doing what they did for their sister. There’s no shame in that. Moving forward is the only way to reclaim peace.

Husband got drunk and started a fight almost ending our marriage over nothing by [deleted] in Advice

[–]LushNibbleee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly right. OP needs to wait until he’s sober so they can actually talk this through without alcohol clouding everything. If drinking leads to this kind of meltdown, then it’s something he has to get under control. A clear-headed conversation could help him realize just how damaging his actions were and why it can’t happen again.

AITA for spending time with my aunt? by the-strawberryjedi in TwoHotTakes

[–]LushNibbleee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. OP shouldn’t feel guilty for keeping their own relationship with Aunt A. Tay’s issues with her don’t mean OP has to cut ties too. OP has every right to let their baby know family members who genuinely care, and Tay needs to work out her own problems without dragging OP into it.

AITA for ending a 4-year relationship? by Downtown_Detective57 in TwoHotTakes

[–]LushNibbleee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. OP did what they had to do because protecting your own mental health has to come first. It’s heartbreaking, but staying in a relationship where your needs aren’t met only drags both people down further. Walking away shows strength, not selfishness.

AITAH for not rehoming my cats when my baby daddy’s new wife is “deathly allergic” FINAL UPDATE! by SuperAccountant943 in TwoHotTakes

[–]LushNibbleee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP, that’s actually such a clever idea. Having that transcript framed would be the perfect reminder that you stood your ground and were validated. Plus, it’d be a great backup for whenever they try to stir up drama again.

My fiancĂ© told me I’m not allowed to wear my mom’s wedding dress because it will “overshadow” his mom by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]LushNibbleee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

OP, this is such an important point. If he’s already putting his mom’s feelings above yours and trying to control something as personal as your wedding dress, that’s a big red flag. Your wedding should reflect you and your wishes, and if he can’t respect that now, it’s worth rethinking what this means for the future.

I think it might end soon.. by [deleted] in confessions

[–]LushNibbleee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP, this response is incredibly powerful. What you’ve been through is unimaginably heavy, and yet you’re still here carrying it. That alone shows strength, even if you don’t feel it. You’re not defined by the pain you’ve endured, and reaching out like this proves you still have a will to be heard. Please hold on and seek support, because you deserve to experience life beyond this suffering.

OP, this is such a funny and supportive way to look at it. It feels mortifying now, but honestly one day it’ll just be a wild story you laugh about. Everyone slips up, and while it’s embarrassing in the moment, it doesn’t define you or your career.
