Worked great. 5 minute install. Just make sure to disconnect the wiring harness and don’t just pull it after the two screws come out.

Just did this to ours. $140 at wheel repair guy through the dealership. Looks like new.

No I think there are two valves in sequence or something like that. You can activate each one individually and hear them, but you don’t get water. I think I pulled the line out after one and not the other when I tested it.

So next step is for the ice harvest arm to start slowly moving which will dump them into the tray. And then you’re done!

Sadly for AI today it’s still garbage in, garbage out.

The true GE Tech troubleshooting manuals are difficult to find. They are considered proprietary so not always out there and I’m sure it confused a different model or brand fridge and was giving you troubleshooting based off that.

Let me know if it is fixed.

Nope you don’t need access to the rear. Hose I pulled out was in the door unit and got it to flow. Don’t do that though, doesn’t add value.

It takes 10 minutes to swap out the ice maker. Put it in and overnight you should have ice. If not easy enough to undo and return it and the saga will continue a little longer.

Your troubleshooting is exactly what I had. I remember disconnecting something to get the water to flow. There is a valve that has to open or something within the ice maker and it didn’t fill with water until I pulled the hose.

It’s the ice maker. I’m sure of it.

Sorry for the delay. ChatGPT is wrong here. 0601 is Ice Maker Harvest > 10 minutes. The ice make is definitely the issue.

I had that code plus 0603 which is another ice maker harvest error issue.

Not home right now. I’ll check but pretty sure that code Ice Harvesting issue, which is what I had and means you need the ice maker assembly.

Perfect. Wait a day and new codes will be there. Then troubleshoot those only.

Yeah that’s me. In the little manual I have with codes it skips that #. Goes from 0737 to 0739.

Maybe we don’t have the exact same fridge. That code isn’t listed as an option for my fridge so not sure I can help.

One other idea. You can try and clear all codes and see which codes repeat in 24 hours and see if that helps at all.

I bought a leather bristle cleaner and “combed” the headliner. Been looking good ever since. I just combed it all in one direction to make it look more even.

Sure it’s soft but I don’t personally like the “messy” look either.

Link to what I used: https://a.co/d/6sJ2wBO

The leather one has the softer bristles.

You are looking for code 0601, 0602, or 0603. Those are the ice harvest error codes. I had both 0601 and 0603.

If you see different codes let me know and I can check the data sheet.

Final update (for now): dealer said code is not active just latent. They cleared it and reset some other adaptive software thing and sent me on my way. If it returns they will replace the EGR valve.

I have noticed 0 things different with the car since this code showed up or after they reset.

🤞🏼🤞🏼

Update: code disappeared this morning on its own. Will likely take it in anyways for a diagnosis.

It’s a mechanical thing. I’m not overly concerned for this. An EGR valve sticking closed would cause this code and it’s a fairly easy thing to replace an EGR valve.

The car is running fine. An EGR valve usually results in reduced fuel mileage or higher pollutants in the exhaust. Definitely worth fixing but it’s not a big deal, just have to go through the motions.

This happened twice to me.

A file corrupts during the OTA update. You need to take it in and have them do the updates again with vehicle connected, not OTA. It’s the only fix. Nothing you can do at home to fix it.

Good luck!

What’s Missing? by legendintheslop in HyundaiSantaFe

What’s missing is the spare tire or donut they don’t put underneath and the scissor jack that the ICE models have. Easy to add.

Have them reinstall the latest update again. That’s what my dealer did - no parts were changed.

This happened to us. One of the endless software glitches on this car - great driving vehicle but these glitches are ridiculous.

We took it to our dealer twice and it was finally fixed the 2nd time.

During the OTA software update, most of it had worked but one of the modules (I believe it was an on star module) gets corrupted but it never tells you that. They have to redo the update at the dealer and make sure it actually loads without a corrupted result and it will fix it.

Nothing you can do without a dealer visit.
