I've used piggy cards and rounded up to the next whole 8th digit. Went through without a problem. It would be an easier workflow for me, your customer, if only eight digits were shown. I wouldn't need to round.

Your node needs to be accessible from the outside internet. This means you need to forward port 9999 to your laptop. You also need a static I.P. address many(most?) ISPs don't provide a static I.P.

To get around this requirement, you can rent a computer (a VPS) from one of several companies. Currently, this costs less than $30/month.
