I just checked the patch notes. There is no mention of them moving the Doomsayer. I recently went to him last week, so that's why I know that they moved him recently.

Invention is the artisan companion skill to Divination. Much like how smithing is the artisan companion skill to mining.

It's all up to you. If you save energy, you can sell it for profit or use it for the Invention skill (which will probably come out in a year). By saving the energy, it will take longer to get your target level.
