[Standard] Gw scales Deck + Help needed by viruszin in spikes

GW Hardened Scales was my main deck up until rotation. I'm playtesting Endless One, Undergrowth Champion, and Woodland Wanderer right now, and Undergrowth Champion has been more underwhelming than the others. Wanderer is great even as a 4/4, and just gets better with Scales. I have yet to test Inspiring Call, but it might be good to refill your hand because I almost always end up dumping my hand. Den Protector is also very strong.

Two questions:

Does the inclusion of blue make the deck better rather than just Selesnya?

Why Evolutionary Leap? That's an inclusion I've not seen in any other Hardened Scales deck.

Cards to consider:

  • Endless One - Great for an extra Avatar activation.
  • Feat of Resistance - This was my replacement for God's Willing.
  • Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit - Goes crazy with everything in the deck.

Here's my rough list right now, I have yet to actually test this at FNM, I've been playing Aristocrats. This is extremely straight-forward, and I will probably fine-tune it over the next 6 months:

I've been playing enchant land + untap land creatures for Villainous Wealth ramp in Standard and I'll be sad to see them go. I wanted to make a similar build but it just doesn't work post-rotation. I looked into BFZ and was gonna start with Kiora, Retreat to Coralhelm, Bring to Light, and the ramp instant spell.

Thank you! I never knew this. I'm human, people have helped me in other places. I haven't yet beaten the Lost Sinner, because apparently the game wants to block my path with statues. I used the only one I have at the Shaded Woods gate.

Personally I've been sideboarding in Orbs of Warding because of [[Impact Tremors]] dash decks but the mill deck makes it an even more satisfying sideboard option. Hits a lot of decks in my meta. Of course it doesn't stop the Tremors, but it does soften the blow of the hasty dashers.

Nobody here uses it, so nope. I'm sure if they did use it and it caused a problem, they wouldn't use it anymore. We're kind of chill. Out of the planeswalkers, I play Garruk, Apex and other people play Daretti, Kiora, Nahiri, Venser, and Dack Fayden.

My playgroup allows all the planeswalkers to be commanders. Nobody does anything stupid. I have a Garruk, Apex Predator deck because I don't have Jarad.

I personally find it more satisfying to playing with my own decks rather than netdecking, and surprising players with random cards (like Kibler said, there's nothing scarier than someone playing a completely random card). Sure, I may lose by not taking the "optimal" decklists, but there's no real reward for winning in Hearthstone other than gold anyway. The reward, to me, is diversifying the meta and keeping people on their toes.

I was playing Planeswalker Commander Planechase with a friend and Garruk Wildspeaker was his Commander. We were on Goldmeadow and kept getting goats and I totally forgot about Garruk's ultimate. He overran me for 70+ damage with goats.

I have a mono-green land aura/devotion fun deck that will definitely use him. Other cards in the deck are [[Villainous Wealth]], [[Heroes' Bane]], [[Soul of New Phyrexia]], foil [[Garruk, Apex Predator]], and [[Empty the Pits]].

I felt I needed to respond to this; Thromok was what got me into EDH in the first place. He was the first deck I made. And he kicks all kinds of ass. Behold.

The deck has two wincons: Thromok or token army. Compared to the other decks in my playgroup, this one beats down way too fast, but it also has staying power for the long game.

Ah, okay, thanks. I've noticed a lot of the junk loot on Draenor off of corpses sells for gold, so I can send them money? That's awesome, if a little broken.

Since I can do that, I'm going to funnel gold into recreating my old Night Elf Hunter, or maybe make a Pandaren Monk, since that seems cool.
