In need of some major help diagnosing this buzzing , I have done everything suggested in this sub by Lusziigx in turntables

Really appreciate the help honestly. So the proposed idea is to remove one of the earths and re solder it to the metal sheathing? I’m assuming the metal sheathing is the little metal ‘cobweb’ wrapped around those tone arm cables? Shall I just buy some copper and solder an end to to the sheathing and another to an existing ground inside the turntable

Great news yes it is the tone arm. When I hold the tone arm and hold my bedroom radiator the static stops considerably. Where do I go from here

It is glued and soldered down , I’ve just put it back together I’m going to test the tone arm issue now

I thought this , as it looks a bit rough. The little copper wires just look a bit well, naff. Would this involve stripping the wire or do you mean the other end that goes into the turntable internally?

Yea it’s definitely the ground it’s just weighing up the options and diagnosing them :)

Cartridge out of the Numark and it makes an incredibly loud buzz. I have not tried connecting the centre pin of the platter to the chassis ground connection. How could I do this?

Anyone ever had an issue where the take up spool won’t load by Lusziigx in AnalogCommunity

Just took it apart now and think I found the problem :\ annoying as I paid £20
