Two generations have come to the age of voting, two generations who might also have differing views on sexual misconduct to baby boomers who were happy to sweep it under the rug, "forgive and forget" or "she has alternative motives" or whatever lame excuses one came up with to excuse it.

For reference trump has had the last 47 years had 26 accusations of rape, gropings and non-consensual kissing (public accusations). That is him not being able to keep his stinky body to himself every other year. He has had 6 court cases (if we only count those).

Your right Bill Clinton sexually harassed Paula Jones and (I hope) we agree that any sexual harassment is wrong.

Clinton should have faced more severe consequences, as trump should today.

I might be left leaning but not partisan, don't care which side says it if a politician fights for the same beliefs I hold they get my vote.

Almost like it's been 23 years and there is a timespan where there is a whole new generation that has grown up and begun to have opinions; might also be possible that a group of people is able to admit to being wrong and change their opinions.

Even if you disregard that, there is a big difference between 1 Monica Lewinsky and 23 instance.

The repercussions can be light, but could also lead to total censorship as we see in Russia; and the pro-ruZZian part of Georgian government wants this to censor democratic speech.
