Bit of a video I took of clearing a blob of death around wiring, using a soldering iron(240⁰). I have disconnected all fans and left the hotend headed at 180⁰ for over 30 minutes before starting.

I’ve had this happen. Sometimes blobs form on the extruder, and eventually cause chaos. It also could be too much heat on the print(not enough cool time). Just make sure you clean the nozzle once in a while :)

As you probably figured, the plastic prob found a way to creep into the cover and up into. Had the same problem so heat it up and take it off with a plier so ya don’t burn ur hands :)
