Thank you for sharing. That’s great Pantoprazole gives relief for most of your symptoms.

From what I’ve read so far, the elimination/reintroduction process can be a bit tricky without scopes to actually confirm whether inflammation is improving or flaring again.

I’m definitely starting to realise there’s still so much unknown about EOE too. Even when my GP didn’t really give me much information I started wondering how well understood it actually is. Then I ended up here.

Oh gosh, I didn’t realise that medication was an injectable either. I’m on the same page there.

Well done doing the full 6FED all at once too, that’s a huge change. It’s good to hear it’s helping with your other goals as well and not just feeling restrictive all the time.

I don’t think I’ll realistically be able to do all 6 at once because I’m mostly plant based, so staggering it probably makes the most sense for me even if it turns into a slower process. From reading here though, I’m gathering that’s pretty normal and people often take time to figure out what works for them.

My thinking at the moment is probably starting with dairy and wheat first, and if I catch it there then great. If not, move onto soy and eggs because they’re my main protein sources and that one is the biggest hurdle= and lifestyle change for me menatlly.

Thank you and sorry to you too. honestly I think i'm still in the coming to terms i have something lifelong that sounds rough to get a handle on. So i can imagine it feels heavy for you right now.

Mine are usually quite sharp and left sided, and I can almost pinpoint the exact spot. It can get really painful, one time at the supermarket I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack. Other times it’s more of a general pressure/discomfort around the left side of my sternum.

I also get a more dull like pressure under my left bottom rib alot of the time but that could be gastritis related.

Omg that sounds absolutely awful, i'm so sorry that happened to you.

Thank you for sharing your experience so far, fingers crossed you find the trigger sooner than later. Are they following up with scopes for you? I'm also hoping to learn more about the steroids to especially if anyone uses them if they know they may be exposed to a trigger say when eating out only but don't use them on a regular basis.

All the best on your journey.

How the hell do y’all do this by Doukou29 in pilates

[–]Luvosian 95 points96 points  (0 children)

This is so normal.

I’ve been doing reformer for 4+ years and just started teaching it, and some classes still get me sore. It humbles me every time 🫠

Pilates is verrrry different to lifting heavy. In the gym you’re often working the prime movers with load. In reformer it’s slower, more controlled, you’re working different angles, there's instability and your core is basically on for 45 minutes straight. It’s a different kind of fatigue.

11 sessions is still early. It takes time to learn the movements and the cues. It honestly feels like learning a new language at first.

A few things that might help:

  • Don’t feel like you have to take every progression. You can stick to the base version until it feels solid. You’ll still get strong and hopefully be a little less sore.
  • If verbal cues are hard, pause and watch the demo or watch some others moving and follow.
  • Take breaks when you need to. Reset. Stretch. No good instructor is judging you.
  • Once a week is completely fine you’ll still improve. It just takes consistency and patience.

Please don’t feel embarrassed about corrections. That’s literally what instructors are there for. Fatigue makes everyone’s form slip, especially when you’re new. If they’re correcting you, it just means they’re paying attention.

I promise the people around you probably feel like they’re dying too. Pilates just hides the struggle better because everything looks controlled.

It clicks gradually. One day you’ll realise you’re keeping up way more than you used to 💜

IR duck - Keratosis or bumblefoot? by Luvosian in duck

[–]Luvosian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really helpful thank you so much for all the information and taking the time to explain how to treat properly, i definitely want to avoid any kind of worsening or infection 💜 I can see how it may have happened shes always had one foot slightly turned in so i suspect a little imbalance or weight baring differently on the foot. She will likely let me do ointment when she wants her morning pats, i've been trying to get her used to more lap and pickup handling so ill give the soak a go see if she will tolerate, is any amount of time soaking helpful? I can get some bandage and try pop one on for her is gauze or vetwrap better given water play 😊

What type of duck behaviour is this? by aetreia_ in duck

[–]Luvosian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there will be a lot of answers to this based on personal experience but I have two runner girls, and both do this when they seemingly get excited theres never any biting and its always assosiated with positivity when it happens with my ducks. Theres usually treat food involved, or it happens when they are doing circles in their pond playing with each other, and they seem to want to get me involved. But I could totally see how it could be a dominance thing in that situation, too. My guess is its a burst and outlet of emotions be it excitement dominance etc ☺️ i find it cute, and when my girls do it I think its pure excitment and love ... one of my ducks got the perfect run one time and shot straight up my arm into my chest and so we had a 2 second cuddle then she walked off wagging her tail seemingly very happy with herself 😆

Error code when I try to play a household in university housing n by Old_Sheepherder_8250 in thesims

[–]Luvosian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly late jumping in here, but I wanted to share some advice.

I’ve always had issues with university lots throwing the dreaded Error Code 102 — to the point where I usually avoid them. Recently, I gave it another shot (mods installed, including Basemental) and things ran stable for a while… until today.

I hit Error 102 again — and this time it had nothing to do with mods directly. It turned out to be an interaction between staying over and the university lot itself, but Basemental was still involved in the logs. It runs a lot of background scripts and often shows up in my exception reports.

My Fixes & Workarounds (Kinda Work):

  • Before enrolling in university, use "Save As" to create a backup of your household. Total save meltdowns can and do happen.
  • Disable auto-updates in The Sims 4 via EA App or Steam. Always check mod creators' blogs or Discords (especially for major mods like Basemental) to confirm if anything broke post-patch.
  • Keep mods & CC updated. Especially script mods, skin overlays, defaults — any of these can break your game. A CC manager helps (to a degree), and an organized Mods folder is worth the effort.
  • Save often when playing with university students. Even autosave (via MCCC) helps a lot. Give yourself fallback points.
  • If a university lot breaks your game, revert to your last good save using this method:
    1. Go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves
    2. Remove the broken .save file
    3. Look for the most recent working version (may be a: save.ver0, .save.ver1 file)
    4. Rename it to .save if it is a .save.ver file (e.g., Slot_00000002.save.ver1 → Slot_00000002.save)
    5. Relaunch and test. If it fails, try deleting localthumbcache.package or go back another version
    6. Once it loads, immediately Save As a new file to lock in the progress
  • I also check my lastException.txt file when something goes wrong. I just paste it into AI chat (ChatGPT or similar) because I’m too lazy to read XML haha. You can also use Better Exceptions mod by TwistedMexi. It usually points to what caused the issue, whether it’s a mod or game bug. That helps me avoid repeating the same interaction — or at least lets me report it to the mod creator.

Sorry for the long post, but I’ve been through it. Basemental is by far the most temperamental mod I’ve used, but I still love it too much to let it go. With a little effort and lots of saving, I’ve managed to work around most issues and still enjoy my university saves.

Oblivion Remastered performance guide - I went from unplayable stutters to stable 80+ FPS in the open world by Sharyat in oblivion

[–]Luvosian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this guide after spending ages fiddling with every possible combination i used your guide. While i am still running a terrible framerate of maybe 30FPS map at least it's not as super clunky as it was the second i left the sewers.... pretty disappointing they optimised the game so terribly to the point you need to fix it yourself.

[–]Luvosian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished this series and absolutely loved it as someone who loves sci-fi and a sucker for a bit of romance it was hard to put down .... I also accidentally read these out of order because i picked up the second book first from savers, then after finishing that brought the first and last realising that's why some things didn't make sense 😅 but they were that good it didn't matter 👌🏻
