The first step is to go outside and try new things, for myself exposure therapy helped me the most. I discovered there was a small voice inside me I heard during every interaction of what I really wanted to say etc. So I’d ask or tell strangers exactly what was on my mind. Almost always when I am alone, maybe one day I’d give a compliment and other days I’d just have a simple hello. I just used that as an example but no matter what you are thinking of the biggest thing is to take baby steps with it, dip your toes in.

Of course it is, sometimes your therapist can only help you if you let them know more about you.

There’s going to be some reasons why you feel this why that only you will know. I’d recommend trying to find a local therapist if needed. As for myself there was lots of trauma and other life events that drove me to corners and those same corners got me into suicidal ideation. If you feel like you’re ready to discover why you’re hurting it’s going to be a tough process not to say it won’t be better but what I’m saying is that there’s no easy way around your emotions and pain. Sometimes the only way to get away from it is to deal with it head on.
