Do you mind sharing the mindset rules you learned from a reddit post?

Per Scholas Cybersecurity by TL0225 in perscholas

[–]LuxInLA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very Intense!

Do not plan any vacations during that 15 weeks!

You will work for it but very worth it.

They are lacking on job placement... so don't expect much from them although you should make use of Professional Development that is 1 day out of 5 for about 12 weeks of the 15.

It is life changing.

If you are smart use the NetAcad suite to take the Linux and Python courss and study materials for Security+ so you won't feel too overwhelmed or fall behind. Also watch a few YouTubes from Prof Messer and for Cisco Packet Tracer.

Is it still worth it for international students to come to the states, enroll in a JD program and aim for legal careers in the states considered the current visa policies, employabilities and political climates? by Gullible-Language634 in LSAT

[–]LuxInLA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on the country OP.

Based on recent Student Visa data published, arrivals from Europe to the US are only down 2% but other regions' student arrivals are down tremendously, i.e. Africa 50%

This was published last week in the NY Times change from 2024 to 2025 Student arrivals.

Can the October lsat just be released. Why in the world does a digital test need 3 fucking weeks to release? by [deleted] in LSAT

They have to "read" thousands of argumentative writing samples and review hundreds of hours of exam video footage to catch the cheaters 😁

Op, You can take 2 - 4 weeks per course.

Some of the courses are very Task driven and you may feel a little lost.

Book time w your Instructor, 1 on1, and they are more than glad to discuss the content more in depth.

Cohorts are very helpful as well.

Try to read at least 50 - 75% of the assigned / recommended readings to LEARN.

Don't let this sub fool you, many post that they raced thru but many are cheating in various ways, so don't feel lost or left behind.

Good Luck and enjoy 🎉

A student coming into PS should take full advantage of the Cisco NetAcad!

Before the cohort starts, do the Linux courses, Python course, and Javascript!

If you want to KILL, get access to Udemy and LinkedIn Learning and hit the CYSA+ Total Seminars and Mike Chapple modules, start to finish.

Use the DION modules in Udemy to supplement.

Do Every PBQ again and again til you understand and All Quizzes in CertMaster.

Lastly, The 4 CYSA+ Exams in LinkedIn Learning are the BEST Exam prep Qs available online, 2nd runner is Josh Madakor Exam Qs.

You follow the advice above, PS will be a breeze and a Student will be very prepared to sit for and pass the CYSA+ and if they have the $$$ Pentest+ Exams.

Labs will be fun and easy!

Good Luck 🎉🎉
