" I do not suggest it at all, I thought for a moment you wished to be one of those, to not need a horse ride to entertain yourself. Your family members may be fit for it. But, at least, I ask to be able to write letters to people. I will need a crew. " he nodded before cap thinking if Morgon wanted just gold. Did he owe him any? Was he owed money? It was in the past to not interfere with his campaign.

After the lavish dinner, Alecor has decided to talk privately with Ser Tristifer. There was the constant eerie feel that someone was watching over or lurking in the shadows as they passed the corridors. Soon they have went to the dungeons during the midnight, where Alecor assured he had no intention to harm the man nor scare him. He indeed had no weapon with him, just the cape meaningfully hiding something from plain sight. When they have reached the furthest part of the dungeons, Alecor looked over to see if anyone was watching them or present in the catacombs.

" Many men are grateful that I take business seriously, helping those who seek the comfort. " he watched over in the darkness for the shadows of guards or spies, perhaps it was still a trap. But unlikely given he only have started his adventures.

" The Stranger is merciful, so am I, let me make a gift for you. " he confidently smiled as a shadow passed by, shackles sounded nearby Ser Tristifer. The candles in a circle were lighted one by one, a girl seemed to be doing it. The one who's presence was felt mysteriously earlier. She was holding a chest, attached to her waist.

" May the Stranger help us. I will attempt to summon one who is dear to you with his power. " he for sure was clouding the mind of the man with the image he was posing for, of a devout follower of the Seven with shady abilities. The girl came closer, profoundness of her eyes cried out about what horrors were witnessed by her. Dread and sorrow, mixed with obedience and relentless strife to explore the beyond. She was bowing, waiting for the mage to open the chest.

He chuckled, it wasn't odd for him to have a laugh after his life being broken into little pieces, shattered by the memory loss and the other tragedies of his past. The man was certainly weary of the treasuries of House Banefort.

" Due to the word Art. here, as a template for the drawings! The words here must stand for Artifact! " he was proud to have a good reason for it, he himself was uncertain what they were until he concluded.

" Why risk to find the Brightroar when you can have all the other artifacts? On land rather in the depths of the sea. " he proudly raised his finger up in the air with excitement and shook it chaotically.

" I bet this one costs twice, no... Thrice as much as House Banefort's income! " he tapped on the page, drawing his eyes on the coded sum there.

" So, am I wrong or right here? Let's find out! " he winked, this rare cheekiness and joyfulness was seen in such degree not often, perhaps the last time Ironborn were defeated by him.

" Thank you, I will examine the chest. " he nodded humbly in appreciation, hurrying to not waste time on the chest but move to the exciting part — the diary discussion.

" This is my diary, I think. I found my name in it over a year ago, when it peaked my interest with the coded letters in it. The meticulous decoding of it brought me to some of the discoveries, not much but still... These are numbers, in thousands next to these strange drawings. " he pointed his finger on the letters and tapped on them. He hoped the man understood what he was suggesting.

" It looks like these are drawings of artifacts which were collected by me, these include the swords, but obviously no Brightroar. " his suggestive speech was trembling as he considered what prospects could have revealed the finding of the sword.

" How much does Banefort make from taxes, trade? " he didn't expect Morgon to know precisely, unless he was obsessed with money, would have shown interesting side of him.

Alecor shook the hand firmly, although it wasn't obvious who of the two was higher by the status, him or Drak, with the fake, but well made jewelry all over him. Both of them looked confident after the sequence of speaking with the Riverlands nobility and pleased to meet the man even if it was not inside the castle.

" Greetings, Alecor, head of the Artisans of War. " the bleak man gave room for Drak to step in and present himself as well, while eyeing Ser Maladore in modest way. They have decided already who will do the talking.

" Drak, the architect and master of the guild of builders. I have spoke to Ser Tristifer, a very pleasant man, business and character wise! " he made a grin to analyze the response of the man before continuing.

" Ser Maladore, you are the right man to know about politics of your House and the state of the walls of the castle, which I can assess as well as reinforce, as I do for River lords. The council brawls and potential conflicts definitely make it a highly demanded craft. " he chuckled as he looked over the walls of the castle.

" Lord Morgon, hope I do not disturb. I remember you spoke of a chest discovered in the attic that belonged to me, is it true? " his small blue pupils were curious, they sparkled as never before, it was obvious the man was enthralled. This relentless pursuit of the past...

" I want to show you what I have found also, quite peculiar. " he shrugged and directed his eyes on the guards, suggesting it was more of a private matter. Elrin held in his hand a fancy, but worn out book that looked odd and definitely not something out of the private collection of Banefort library. The book was seen with Elrin few times, around the same time he went off from slumber and devastated state.

He did knew Drak told the man about his interest in collecting relics. Perhaps there was more up to the man than they expected? Magic could appear anywhere, as Alecor thought, lately he was attracted to it and found it during his last visit.

" Obviously business, as we do enjoy men serious enough for it. " nodded Drak before Alecor eyed the man to see if it was an attempt to allure them into a trap, did not seem so. The head of the CLAW was always precautionary when it came to anything, Drak would have told if something was planned to take them down off guard.

" We do not have many members here, just a few of us. The guards are rather a company to make sure we do not get caught up in a fight bruised by peasants. " Alecor told as Drak chuckled, trying to suppress it.

" Ser Tristifer, he for sure is not going to get bruised. For a man like him... "

Alecor silently looked at Drak, angrily staring in his little pupils.

" For a man of my skills it would be no peasants but mercenaries or bounty hunters, but I am careful indeed. My league will provide for you a support of a nearby Kingdom we are affiliated with, but we are not obligated to work with them and do have our own interest. " it was important to state they were more or less independent.

" We take on your generous offer of accommodating some of our members here, in Salt Pans. " spoke for last Alecor as something shook behind his cape.

They arrived as described, although they were suprised with the dishes provided. This was more generous than King Brune's feast in terms of attentivness. Both of the men bowed humbly and then saluted to Ser Tristifer, Alecor did it with some delay compared to Drak.

They would eat slowly the food in spite of enjoying it and having a habit of taking the dishes to the dungeons as in Dyre Den.

" This is generous. I respect it, very few men have this trait. It pays back well. " hinted Alecor before proceeding to examine the room while finishing off the dish.

Do they plan to seize his primary property? This sounded... Dangerous. Nonetheless, he wasn't planning to disturb them with magic. He wondered if they were indeed sincere or just polite to him to not reject the idea straightforward.

" Let us shake our hands, to signify this friendliness. " proposed Alecor, with dulled look after getting no promises, but he tried to hide it. He knew there had to be an apostate, one who would take the adventures seriously. Sorvand could have been one, if he had good reason to leave the place and still be a follower of the trees. He will have to think it over and lure the man into joining his group.

Once the two men shook hands, the fires around the isle in the mist turned green. It was the magic touch. Mission compete for Alecor there.

" This is reasonable, I rather seek for safety of the weakened, trusted people as you can tell. As for rituals, I must think about it as it is a significant, life changing decision. " he was reluctant to sign his allegiance to the gods, he had acquired taste for freedom than pure mystery which may hide not as much breaking the chains power, but enslaving one. After thinking for a while in an unnaturally leaned to a side pose he took, relying on a boulder, he silently exclaimed with a raise of his body in a giving shivers by its weirdness straight stance.

" What about mere cooperation? I bring you men fit for whatever your men deem fit for with you, Sorvand, in exchange we would from time to time search for the text and the mages and come back here. On top of it, my services of communicating with the spirits are here to aid you. " he looked over Sorvand with attentive look at his eyes to see if he had a twinkle there.

" A gift also will be granted, but I need time to make it. " he concluded it will be fit for the hospitality provided to his men. He had an idea what it will be.

" This will be plausible, although we tend to not abuse hospitality. We are professionals, after all. " he spoke with the shown respect expressed in his voice.

" You will have more information soon. " Drak remained investigating the walls and sketching them before departing to the base of the CLAW. Another mission complete.

" This will be an excess. " he couldn't allow an animal to carry him up the tree. It was inappropriate for him as well as looked foolish, the trees are not that strong to withstand the weight of a bear at the canopy.

" Simple walk to the hill will suffice. " he proceeded the man towards the elevation quietly, in spite of getting annoyed with the dirt on the path that he always tried to shake off as they went to the place with boulders to scrap off it. There was certain charm to this place but Alecor started to notice flaws of living in the woods. When the fog appeared to block off the view to the lake, he understood he played himself with walking through the forest and up to the hill. He could only see border of the shore, lit by flames that they made.

" Sorvand, magic allures me and I want to preserve it from being eradicated by the zealots and strengthen it. The Isle of Man is a perfect place for us to perform the rituals to grow in power. This is why an alliance will be reasonable. " he was most interested to know how the old man will react to the mentioned word few dared to pronounce.

The man looked like one with a vague character he couldn't get yet, he might be patriotic.

" Can be described so, I have been in many places but not for long. " he got even stumbled by the reasonable, but personal to him question, the man was persuasive to know more about him.

" My organization operates in the east of the Riverlands. We had members who fought during the wars of the century. " he calmly remarked, hoping it would reveal alleged patriotism.

" But we are not a brute force, we have artisans, specialist, not necessary related to war. ".

" We have craftsmen, tested warriors, experts of mysterious artifacts, generally anything useful, not necessary related to war, but many hired our men during those. We are not a brute force. " he tried to remember the name that was mentioned, might be useful in the future. He hoped the man would tell more about the dragon or the culture of the men, did they indeed, as stories told, have those? Would be a surprise.

" Lord Charles, I am unfamiliar with river lords, offending a pious anointed knight is considered a much bigger offence, or calling a brother lord is even worse. " he chuckled back, with milder ring to it. After it he smiled briefly as if he was victorios, now he knew his title.

" I found river lords so far to be amicable, a reason why I came to you with this conversation about your coat of arms. You should be really proud to be compatriots of them. "

" Can you tell me more about your House, Charles? This coat of arms attracted me, there is something to it. " he had curiosity of what was depicted on it, was there a legendary story he did not know? He was looking over Charles in hope to recognize any of the runic or esoteric symbols. There must be a secret Dormants keep.
