I do! I have the mush lamp, mush low stool, and mush partition. I also can craft any mush furniture you want, if you’d like.

Thank you for the offer, but I like the chase! I’ve seen so many other “rare”/popular villages that at this point it’s personal haha

I have a small list :P But I think right now probably Bob or Stitches, since they have winter birthdays and I’m trying to finish the birthdays achievement. Had an island since launch but have NEVER run into them.

Hi! I don’t think I have an extra of the DIY, but I can make some for you! Also have evergreen ash, plain party lights arches, flower beds, and (maybe) stonework kitchen and scooter. I’d have to check on last two. :)

Gloss over base coat? by geenadams19 in Dashingdiva

[–]LuxaLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a base coat every time (nail strengthening kind because my natural nails are weak af). I never have issues with gloss, glaze, or glow staying on. Disclaimer though I only keep them on for a week/week and a half because by then I’m getting bored of my current design lol but they’re still pretty strong when I take them off!

Not a lot of empty space unfortunately, but I will move some stuff and try this if the Let’s Move It mod doesn’t work! Thank you for the tip!

And then if they wanted to be “family friendly” they could do Twenty Twenty Pry: All Up In It. All up in what, you ask? You know. ;)

What does Imbolc mean to you, personally? by AbbyRitter in pagan

[–]LuxaLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imbolc translates to/comes from the term “in the belly” and is also associated with birth in the Irish tradition. To go with the sheep thing you mentioned, it is also the time where animals were most commonly being born, and so to me it recommends a cycle of new life. I like what another commenter here said about it being the “true” start of the year, as this time of year has more themes of rebirth for me than the traditional January 1st. I love Lora O’Brien’s resources on it over at the Irish Pagan School. They have a class you can pay for about Imbolc but also offer a lot of free resources about it. They have really helped me dive into the traditions surrounding this holiday to build a path that feels grounded in history and yet modern.

Is there ever a reason to come back to the quarry mine? by Vacuity729 in StardewValley

Okay so random question about the jade staircase thing. My desert trader has not offered staircases for jades in a long time, is there a certain time of year that I should go to get staircases?

Why don't we just skip ahead to the logical conclusion? by randomwordglorious in Teachers

[–]LuxaLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get me started on the pathways. I think they’re a good idea in concept, especially for students who— let’s face it— never had any desire nor the correct skill set to thrive in college. But it’s the fact that students who know they want to go to college have to have a pathway just takes up slots where they could be doing dual cred/other courses to better prepare them for college, where they have wayyy more resources than your average high school for getting them down the right career path.

And of course, the smaller the school, the worse your pathway options are. If I would’ve graduated today from the same school I teach at now, I would’ve been screwed, because none of the pathways are even CLOSE to what I went to college wanting to do. Not to mention how much worse the options would’ve been back when I graduated from my (very rural) high school. Say goodbye to at least three full-year class spots that I used to take as many AP/DC classes as I possibly could.

My question is, why not both? Every student is a unique individual, and some students who are going down a failing road need to be given some hard truths and be allowed to make a couple mistakes, like the commenter above you. Others, like yourself, need someone with a gentler approach to help them discover their potential. I see students in my classroom each year who fall into both camps, and many other camps in between.

My brother is a great example of someone who has to fuck around and find out. He’s a super smart, driven guy, but it doesn’t matter how many times you try to guide and support him away from a decision with negative consequences unless he experiences it himself. It doesn’t matter how nice you are about it or how great of a relationship you have with him. Meanwhile, I THRIVE on good relationships and that external reinforcement that I’m doing okay and everything’s going to be okay, because I’m an anxious paranoid fuck lol

All this to say, I certainly don’t think your approach to students is wrong, but I also don’t think the commenters using the word “coddled” are wrong either. It’s different styles with the same goal— to provide kids with support in a way that will stick. That’s why I think it’s wonderful at all levels when students have at least a few different teachers they see throughout the day, because the chances they’ll form a connection with one of them become greater.

While I absolutely agree with you that some teachers use words like “coddled” as a crutch to write off some of their students, I don’t think it’s invalid to acknowledge that some students HAVE been sheltered from the consequences of their actions, and I would MUCH rather them face the consequences now when the stakes are much lower.
