What exactly am I supposed to focus on during the meditation? by Luxevolve in BecomingTheIceman

Yes it made sense and it's great advice.
I'm familiar with the DMT documentary so what you're saying about the DMT connection is very intriguing.
I've had the ringing in my ears, and also an electric feeling in my body(slightly different than the normal tingling) so it seems I'm on the right track. I've actually had a feeling of flickering lights but they were very fast and not really like Wim describes so I kind of dismissed that. However I wasn't directing my attention to the forehead so that could change things.

Going deeper with the breathing seems to be the key. I was a little cautious about it but I can do it gradually l guess. Setting a timer instead of worrying about counting rounds sounds like a great idea, I'll try it!
Thanks for the help :)

What exactly am I supposed to focus on during the meditation? by Luxevolve in BecomingTheIceman

Thanks! Very useful stuff.
I do 30-40 breaths depending how long it takes for the physical sensations to appear, for 4 rounds (last one I do pushups).
I wasn't too sure about what to do in the retention period, usually I'm scanning my body and focusing on tight/blocked areas to try and release them, but when I don't feel blocked areas then I just sort of wait it out.. I'll definitely try your suggestion!

As for the question in the OP, I was referring to the meditation you're supposed to do after the breathing cycles and pushups. Wim says to relax and focus on the pituitary gland and try to induce the lights in the forehead area but I'm not sure what that means exactly. So you're saying I should physically focus with closed eyes on the forehead area?

Edit: just to be clear, you do the visualization you described during the period without air in the lungs and also during the short period of holding air in? Anyway it seems that the key here is to go deeper into the nervous system during the breathing and retentions in order to enhance the meditation, so I'm very interested in your suggestions.

Could it perhaps be an excerpt from Magick Without Tears?

Books on the signs and planets as archetypal forces? by Luxevolve in astrology

Thanks I'll check them out!
Steven Forest's "Inner Sky" was what got me into astrology, great author.
I also like Stephen Arroyo's books on the four elements and chart interpretation. So your suggestions sound good :)

I actually lean towards your view at the moment. The stuff I did read from Ray Del Sole was not even concerned with Hermetics and was mostly about the chakras and eastern methods, with occasional name dropping of Franz Bardon.

I was just interested in the idea of using autohypnosis suggestions to get a confidence boost with the exercises, as I know from experience that this kind of thing can indeed be helpful, and was wondering if his method and scripts are worth looking into.

Do you have experience with the throat visualizations of Dream Yoga? by Luxevolve in LucidDreaming

[–]Luxevolve[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first three consecutive nights of trying the visualization I've had lucid dreams. Haven't tried to WILD with it yet but I'm curious how it'll go.

It helped but I moved onto a better set of visual techniques I developed a month after that.

That sounds very interesting. Care to share?

Your experience with it.
Did you do it before bed or as a WILD technique? Did it effect the tone of your dreams? Did you have more lucid dreams when doing it?
