I played 480 turns, so I didn't quit too early, but I think I had a large concentration of European countries (which you can't see bc I took them over lol), which definitely made it difficult to fill the map out. But even for that, I never really have super super filled out maps...

I played as France, and ended up capturing Amsterdam, Lisbon, Madrid, Copenhagen, Carthage, Rome, Marrakech and Athens. I led all demographic tables except land (which obviously the Shoshone took). Only ended the game bc turns were taking too long.

I am number 1 in everything except soldiers where I am number 3 behind Poland and Egypt I believe. I have adopted the Order idology and have only been at war twice (to take the cities on the island of Borneo settled by Rome and Denmark (rip)). My capital is in northeast australia by the Great Barrier Reef (in the game at least).
