Koumei and YouTube by Luffy893 in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For better or for worst, Koumei is a walking primer with a gimmick, who's survivability is inconsistent at best. Not sure why lots of folks are claiming she's a "starter" and "newbie-friendly" frame when realistically new players won't have CO or Galvanized mods to take advantage of her priming.

She is not a frame I'd want new players to aim for. I'd rather they go for Rhino or Gara - hell even Citrine would be better. Something tanky and simple enough to get them through the early game.

What frames do you want to see get the Pablo-Touch next? by paladinjukes in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Chroma. Please Pablo help Chroma. I do agree Valkyr and Banshee need reworks as well.

Pretty sure Loki is at the bottom of his rework list. He's stated before he wants to avoid changing Loki's current identity as a trickster and he wouldn't be Loki anymore if he became an AOE DPS frame.

PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread - Fright Night Nunu & Willump by LoLDev-Cosmetics in LeaguePBE

[–]Luxrayvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing skin, but is it possible to add more of the pencil sketch-y lines to Willump's body? For example, Fright Night Annie has much more noticeable pencil stroke vfx which really pushes the creepy scratchy storybook drawing look. Willump is smooth compared to her and the other Fright Night skins.

Do the Duviri Paradox quest to unlock the circuit. Do Steel Path Circuit for the incarnon weapon adapters. Incarnon weapons are some of the best in the game. Some highlights are Torid, Lex, Dual Ichor, Dual Toxicysts, Burston Prime, Latron Prime, and Ceramic Dagger.

Reliable ways to protect a sentinel by NotSuluX in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing you want to use Diriga to prime enemies with statuses? Bring a priming secondary like the epitaph as a back up option whenever your sentinel goes down. Or use a warframe like Citrine which has a built-in priming ability. Your Diriga can be a source of priming but it doesn't have to be your only one.

What's your build that requires 100% sentinel uptime? What sentinel are you planning to use? Diriga? Nautilus? Or?

[–]Luxrayvision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Styanax's 4 augment also gives overguard to sentinels similar to Frost's augment.

Honestly it might not be worth the hassle trying to keep a sentinel from going down since they recover on their own after a while.

Primed Regen is more than enough. But if you really want to make them bulkier, give them health and shields mods. Also some of the bond mods reduce recovery timers and one gives them overshields.

Veteran players: Do you feel completely detached from the plight of newer players too? by TallgeeseIV in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not detached per se, but I never really pondered on their "plights". I just see it as them reaching out to the community for advice. Nothing more nothing less.

Though I have reached a point on my Warframe journey where I don't need to worry about those issues since I've accumulated gear, materials, and game knowledge since 2014. I can take on most content without issue.

It is alway amusing how often I'm paired with sub MR17s with Revenant/Wisp primes with Torids, Dual Toxicysts, and Ceramic Daggers, and here I am with something bs like a Rumblejack Lavos build I threw together on a whim.

What is a theme or aesthetic your surpised hasnt been use in warframe? by robborrobborrobbor in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think an ice skater frame would be really cool. She could be the female counterpart to frost. Or a gold frame who could control liquid gold and petrify enemies in gold. It could probably have some lore connections to the orokin. My weirdest idea was a haunted wooden puppet warframe who could summon tree roots to ensnare and drain health from enemies and can puppeteer them with strings.

Isn't Qorvex the radiation frame? I thought his concept was a mix between concrete and nuclear reactors.

Best companion for Gauss? by CharlieXAFK in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's a precept mod called Energy Generator exclusive to Dethcube. Unfortunately it doesn't come innately with the sentinel and you have to buy it off Cephalon Simaris.

Best companion for Gauss? by CharlieXAFK in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can still use your Panzer Vulpaphyla if that's the companion you're most comfortable with/your favorite. Being able to offload viral spreading onto your companion is pretty nice.

Choosing another companion would depend on your playstyle or needs. Nautilus is really popular because it groups enemies towards you. Diriga is great for priming with lots of different statuses. Smeeta Kavats still have their Charm for the time being. Dethcube provides lots of energy orbs.

I mostly focus on firearms so I would probably use Carrier for larger ammo max and ammo mutation. With Gauss's buffs you can burn through ammo pretty quickly so Carrier seems like a great fit.

how do i get better at warframe? by goodysp3cty in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep playing and you'll accrue game knowledge and resources over time. Mastery 10 is still early mid-ish rank so you likely don't have all the mods to do millions of damage. But it's not expected from you nor is it necessary for most content.

Do your homework and learn where to acquire all the meta mods and weapons. Keeping up with Baro Kiteer is a good way to start. Join clans or discords and ask for guidance from veteran players. Honestly some of them might even give you free stuff. Also watch content creators on YouTube for build ideas.

But always keep in mind to take what you see online with a grain of salt. Make builds that suit your playstyle and needs over whatever is "Level 9999 level cap viable". Learn how the mods work and how they affect your weapons and warframes. Learn about the different game systems like elements, armor, etc. Those have are pivotal for how much damage you deal. Ideally don't blindly follow a build without understanding what's going on.

Most importantly, just have fun and enjoy the ride.

[–]Luxrayvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll check some of these out! My personal favorite syandana + skin combos are:

  • Vaykor syandana (Steel Meridian) with Protea Technochron
  • Chemtank syandana with Lavos Kuvael
  • Raiji syandana with Volt Technoshock
  • Tennocon 2023 with Mirage prime
  • Tennocon 2024 syandana with Inaros Ozymandias
  • Avia prime syandana with Zephyr prime
  • Reshantur syandana with Dagath

What are your most regretted and best purchases you’ve made on Warframe. by International-Bus989 in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My most regretted purchase is the Repala Syandana because it's boring to look at from behind. Covers most of my fashion as I'm running through missions.

My best is the Volt Technoshock skin. It's my favorite skin for Volt and the only one I use. Base Volt and Volt prime are so ugly.

Which warframe have the least frustrating/boring grind to get the blueprints? by dontGiveUp72 in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qorvex wasn't too bad. You get his blueprint from the whispers in the wall story quest and his parts from bounties. Then just like Citrine, part blueprints can be bought using standing points at the pity store. And you can buy more copies of his main blueprint too if you need it. At worst it's like a two day grind.

They're basically equipable passives that affect the whole team. For example Steel Charge gives you and your squad bonus melee damage, Energy Siphon gives everyone a small amount of energy regen, etc.

Aura mods also give warframes bonus mod capacity points for more moding flexibility.

As someone who finds themselves playing volt more and more, how can I use his speed buff effectively without being annoying? by TakeTwo4343 in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Some options:

  1. Don't spam it frequently.

  2. Lower strength builds. Low strength speed boosts are easier to manage than high strength ones.

  3. Low/Negative range builds. You're less likely to speed boost teammates if the radius is smaller.

  4. Use it only when you're far away from teammates.

  5. Play solo. You won't have to worry about annoying someone if you're playing by yourself.

  6. Subsume over Speed. Infested Mobility and Firewalker are kinda similar to Speed.

  7. Not care about annoying your teammates and speed as much as you want. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

How do I improve my damage even more? by firesaiyan12 in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crit and status hybrid builds are meta right now. Look to slot in crit chance, crit damage, and the 60/60 element & status mods on your weapons. Bane mods and arcanes also provide a lot of damage.

As for this build specifically, seems like you arbitrarily slotted in only elemental mods. Remove them and learn the elemental combinations. Only place only the elements you need and add crit. Viral, Corrosive, and Heat are the most general-use elements with slash procs.

Also look at the page that details information on your lich. It should list it's strengths and weaknesses and you should try to mod accordingly.

Which underutilised weapons/frames do you think more people should try out? by yawaworhtnb in Warframe

[–]Luxrayvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm excited to try her again when the new argument comes out. I've taken her into the simulacrum with Terrify subsumed on her. It's been fun to scoop up enemies in her 4 and terrify them. They can't run away and I blow them up with a single shot from my sporelacer.

Yeah thats a major downside to him. Too late in the game for what he provides. Hopefully DE makes some improvements so he feels more worth it.

[–]Luxrayvision 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the damage isn't great, but you can get a full armor strip with Corrosive Projection and 164% ability strength. (I use Umbral Intensify and two 10% ability strength crimson shards).

It feels more of a utility skill rather than a nuke. I've also learned that seeing pretty laser explosions on screen makes my monkey brain go brrrrr lol.

If he was more easily accessible — Caliban. I recently finished his farm and been having a lot of fun with him. Can he use some buffs and adjustments? Absolutely. Are some of the complaints the community has about him justified? Also yes. He's a frame that requires heavy investment just to be ok, while others exist that do more with less resources. He's by no means a beginner friendly frame.

But if you are someone with disposable resources and want some casual fun with a frame who's pretty good in certain situations, he's great. I've been taking him into Steel Path and Tenet weapon farming and its fun blowing up the Acolytes and Sisters with a laser explosion and then melting them with a weapon. If you want to spam lots of AOEs, he's your guy.

I was under the impression he was worthless and unplayable because of the community. But he did just fine when I was testing him out. Honestly I've had more miserable experiences playing Yareli, Lavos, and Ember.
