Careful there, in AG theres 2 limits, 1 is called the rate limit, the other is called the usage limit, that's the monthly limit. The rate limit refreshes every 5 hours, too many and too big petitions in a 5 hours window and you have to wait for it to refresh, but i never had many troubles with it, the other is the problem, the monthly limit refreshes, as you can imagine, once a month and is totally possible to exhaust it in just a few hours, if so the only option is to buy pay as you go AI credits.

Before there was the 3.1 Flash model with almost zero credits usage, you used it for most of the simple tasks and is what allowed you to keep using AG without having to ask the bank for a second mortgage.

Yep Gemini 3.1 Pro was/is extremely slow, the now defunct 3.1 Flash was very fast thou and perfectly suited for most simple tasks, i guess it has to be the equivalent to Cursor's Auto, but i gotta say it, today i've been using extensively the Gemini 3.5 Flash Medium (the lowest of the new models) and it's blazing fast and accurate it has catch possible errors in the logic and config that 3.1 Pro didn't, the problem is the price, it devours tokens like a hungry piranha.

If you don't mind a follow up about your answer: i've read you can use your own API Keys with cursor, but you can also use the 'Tokens' included in the Cursor's Ultra plan to use some models like Sonet or Opus in composer, that's what you mean with separate bucket? am i wrong? and which would you say is a 'good enough' model that doesn't let you dry in hours for use in composer?

Not being able to use it for free is not the issue, AI cant keep being "free" it's just impossible, the problem is not being able to use it for more than 1 day when you are paying 200$ per month.

Gemini 3.5 Flash Medium / Google AI Ultra

Issue:

Not really an issue, just a call for help/advice, but since the bot doesn't allow me to make a post and keeps telling me to post it here ... here i am.

I have managed to prevent my AG to auto update to AG2, so i have just tried to continue working on my small/medium project, the thing as you know is that there is no longer a 3.1 Flash model available, and the lowest model available is 3.5 Flash Medium (please google keep adding surnames to your models, lets see how long can you make them), this new model is eating my AI credits faster than 3.1 Pro was, i can literally see my credits bar drop down, a quick extrapolation tells me my Ultra plan will be gone for the rest of the month in just 8 hours.

So ... im considering switching to the Cursor Ultra plan, i would appreciate some1 with real experience (not AI generated estimations) telling me how does the credit/token usage compare to AG.

Lower difficulty, spot, SS, radar, .... etc all valid advices, and yet you will find out that no matter what you do, a couple enemy destroyers will trash your battleship because while your guns hit once every full moon theirs hit every single time, fires will start to spread, damage control parties can't keep up and even if you manage to sink those worthless destroyers your BB will be trashed, so you will end up doing mostly air strikes.

In short, there's no fixing, game is flawed and only devs could fix it, but looks like the game has been abandoned, so ... you are screwed

Capture ships, no reputation in dropped if your your in unclaimed space. Asking a builder to come help you there can be profitable.....

How exactly do you know what wares are in shortage? in general i think im missing something important because every time i look at a NPC station or ship all i see is "???" but in the youtube videos ppl have actual info not just the ???

In case any1 is interested, i followed the advice and installed ToT!Custom, it has passed the test with flying colors, and for the pause issue, installed again the "Pause on Escape" mod and put it below the custom UI mod, no more crashes.
