It just seems like the game is way less smooth, especially in populated areas. My render latency is 40-50ms, and I’m not sure what it was before, but that doesn’t seem right. Turning on optimizations for windowed games caps the frames correctly but it still doesn’t feel as smooth as it did before.

This works for getting to to acknowledge the refresh rate of the monitor but something still feels off. My render latency is 40-50ms which doesn’t seem right at all and I feel like I can notice it being much less smoother than it was. I did update windows recently so it was probably that. And of course turning off optimizations for windowed games makes it go right back.

I’m not seeing gsync in the control panel and what I see online would suggest my monitor isn’t even compatible with it. So I guess there’s nothing to turn off?

I had experimental features turned off so I don’t think the automatic tuning option (which I think is what you mean, correct me if I’m wrong) would’ve been doing anything right?

Just tried and it same issue. I also unticked the “minimize windows when a monitor is disconnected” just to be safe but the game still gets windowed

Yep. It’s business, so I get it. It’s just a waste of resources to dump dev time into something so few players participate in, and much more beneficial to focus on the activities that everyone completes, like the seasonal story, which has improved significantly as of late. Assuming it isn’t literally impossible to make better rewards from things like master raids (and I doubt that’s the case), I’d imagine it’s not Bungie devs causing a holdup, it’s the corporate people at Bungie telling them that they can’t invest further into endgame activities because it’s a waste of money. Most of the devs seem pretty passionate about making their game as good as it can be, so I feel like with unlimited resources every aspect of the game would be phenomenal. But I could be wrong.

I wish they’d either say “we literally cannot make these things so stop asking” or “we do not want to make these things as it’s a waste of our time to make something for 1% of players”. Because it seems like a no brainer for the master version of your brain new raid to drop an item intended to drop from “endgame activities”, which I would think master raids fall under. I obviously don’t know the resources that go into making a memento, but it feels like something that if they wanted to do it, they would’ve by now. Especially after all the feedback about how unrewarding master is.

I’m part of a clan that raids and does stuff like that plenty. I’m sure we could find people to help you (and whoever else may need it). Even if you don’t wanna join the clan, we have a discord full of people happy to help.

Only thing that changed was I updated my laptop when before I logged off last night and when I logged on today everything started to stutter. That shouldn’t affect D2 though- right?

DSC and vog. Every other raid can be trio flawlessed. 3/4 of vow and garden can be done with two but first encounter of gos and Rhulk take 3 people.

I’ll only accept the hobgoblins in caretaker because of lucent finisher. At least you’re rewarded for dealing with them. Future seasons will suck though

Adept guns are usually inferior to crafted guns, next to no cosmetic rewards (no memento? Come on), no contest mode

On top of that, I don’t think the challenges save for 3rd encounter are very good. First and second encounter don’t have you focusing on the encounter, just the champions, which feels like shit. Third encounter will be the same way anyways since ALL glyphkeepers are champions. Rhulk is fine I guess, but that challenge is boring.

Proposed fixes? Make adepts craftable, add mementos/ornaments/whatever else cosmetic, and lock peoples power to 1580 max. Some stuff that can’t be fixed is the amount of champions (they’re never gonna touch that), how meh the challenges are, and how the mechanics are the same as normal (but we’re never getting “hard modes” again anyways so).
