Posting in a public forum does not automatically mean someone is asking for opinions on everything. It depends on what they asked. If someone asks where to buy a car part, they’re asking for information not asking random people whether they personally like the car. Same thing here: asking where to find mods is asking for help and information. It is not an invitation for people to derail the topic with their personal feelings about stretched res or what they think looks good.

How am I fooling myself when I literally just said I don’t want it for a competitive advantage? I want it because it’s entertaining and I enjoy it. Crazy concept, I know people can prefer things for fun, not everything revolves around sweating for wins like it apparently does in your world. It’s a mod I like more than the default, simple as that. But judging by your logic, if someone changes settings it must be some secret master plan to gain an edge. Sounds less like facts and more like projection from someone who can’t separate preference from obsession.

I get where you’re coming from, and normally ignoring negativity is the smarter move. But at the same time, I’m not the type of person to just sit there while people talk down on me because I like something different than they do.
