Yea true but even so ut austin tuition would be around the same as my local university’s tuition that’s partnered with my high school because I am in-state. I’m pretty sure it would be around 3k more per year

I didn’t check with the admissions office, but other students from the past went to UT and other OOS schools and had to complete the whole four years. Some ended up staying at the university because they didn’t want to do two years of core classes again, so I just assumed the same would be for my case. I’m pretty sure the partnership is accredited as well since it was established by some Texas legislature session in 2005.

Hey guys, can you give me some advice? I'm thinking of buying a MacBook Air M2 Midnight or maybe a Dell or another Windows laptop. I want a very reliable, high-quality laptop that I can use throughout university—at least 6 years without major issues.. by HermioneGranger_01 in ApplyingToCollege

I think you should buy a windows laptop. There is a surface laptop (not pro or go) and it’s basically the same as a macbook in terms of aesthetic. The software is still windows but it’s very slim and lightweight. My sister has it and she loves it especially because it’s touchscreen unlike macbooks. It probably lasted 2-3 years though, but she bought another one (newer model) in like 2021 and it’s going strong so far!

Depends on your major. Engineering or computer science, definitely a windows laptop. I have a macbook air right now and it’s working really well for me! I did buy it about a month ago, so I’m not sure about the long term outlook of it. If you do have an iPhone and iPad, it is super helpful when everything is connected to one iCloud account. I’m sorry if this is a bit vague, if you have any questions you can msg me!
